What if every getbig member donated $15 to convince Ronnie and Dorian to come out of retirement for one last on stage battle? Just the two of them! $250,000 to the winner and $100,000 to the loser. The money that members donate would cover the $350,000 purse. Then tie in sponsorships and have bodybuilding.com bring the event live. Have the show be in the fall either before or after the Olympia! The event location could be decided by the sponsors or an on line poll for getbiggers to decide. It would be a one day show. Prejudging, routine, and then posedown. Allow each competitor up to 5 minutes to do their posing routine. Have the judges portion of the balloting count as 2/3rds of the total score and have the fans be able to cast their vote after each round and count towards the other 1/3 of the total score. The hype would be phenomenal. All the magazines would be covering it for months leading up to it. I mean just look at all the Dorian vs Ronnie threads on here. They could even have an expo the day before and the day of the competition to help make it more worth while. Have a press conference and weigh in the night before. Would be a very interesting press conference because the questions would be the 10 best questions from getbigger's for each competitor. None of this politically correct shit. Chick could do a weekly update on the competitors as to how their training is coming. I know this is not like putting them onstage in their prime, but would allow everyone to see who was the best on that given day. Boxing does it all the time. Why not settle onstage? If the purse is too low I am sure that could be increased with the help of the bodybuilding community as well as sponsors. Just a thought please respond!
