I kinda think it's a dick move, but I wouldn't be mad if the other team did it. If you're up by 5 touchdowns, what's one more first down or touchdown going to matter? It won't.

The only reason I see it not being a wise move, is that your players can get hurt for no reason.

But you're absolutely right about every player, and both teams, having to be alert for anything to happen on any down and/or play.

It wasn't today's broadcast, but some idiot on ESPN said that the fact that the ACC had 10 'bowl teams' this year was a testament to the 'quality of the football' in the conference.
