Dick Clark's 2009 performance

I don't know what to think when I see this poor old man counting down each year.  His name is on the show.  And I know that many folks (myself included) will tune in just to see how the old champ is doing.  (God knows Ryan Seacrest is an annoying bugger).

Is he doing what he loves?  Are they exploiting him?  He works all of 2 hours, 1 day a year... and it's an American tradition... but I never know what to think about it.

dick means a lot to me.  I grew up with dick.  dick's always been there for me, whether I was a quirky 4th grader or a confused high schooler.  I can always count on dick to make me feel better at the end of a tough year.
