So you deadlifted 530 pounds when you were 17, and since then your best set has only been 4 reps for 550? I don't get it, most people get alot stronger in their twenties compared to when they were only 17.
Well now I think that the deadlifts with huge weigths are not necessary for bodybuilding and not working for everyone to build big back. So again: I can be waaay stronger in deadlift today especially because I was pretty strong in deadlift even at 17 natural...but this is not my goal.
But here's another example:
When I was 17, my max. bench around 280... This week I did 6 reps on the incline with 405. And why this huge development? Because I think it's necessary to use big weights at the pushing movements for chest if you want huge and round pecs. And my chest is one of my weak points so I train it really hard.
