Brock Lesnar Could Train At Xtreme Couture For Title Fight
« on: January 07, 2009, 07:20:18 AM »
Sherdog.com has an interesting article up in which Randy Couture states that Brock Lesnar had asked him about coming out to Vegas to train at Xtreme Couture to prepare for Frank Mir:

Don’t be surprised to see Brock Lesnar and Randy Couture back in the cage together this year.

This time they’ll be training partners though.

UFC heavyweight champion Lesnar inquired about a visit to Xtreme Couture Mixed Martial Arts in Las Vegas when he spoke with the UFC Hall of Famer at UFC “Fight for the Troops” on Dec. 10 in Fayetteville, N.C.

“I told him that would be fine,” said Couture, who lost his sixth career title to Lesnar at UFC 91 on Nov. 15 in Las Vegas.

Lesnar (3-1) trains primarily with Minnesota Martial Arts Academy head trainer Greg Nelson in Alexandria, Minn., though a stint with Couture could be a wise play.

Couture also gives his thoughts on who will win the Mir vs. Lesnar fight as well has his thoughts on fighting Antonio Rodrigo Noguiera in the interview

No problem brother. This is the main reason I come to Getbig. A few guys bitch about all the news that I post, but hey if you don't wanna look at it don't. Is my opinion. I take from 4 or so sights and wanna make this the one stop chop shop for MMA news. Thanks for the comment brother.

Could be better for Randy because he'll get a chance to assess Brock up close and find out his strong/weak points.
If they have a rematch down the road Randy will have a easier time putting together a gameplan for Brock

This would be weird.  Mir helped Randy get ready for Timmay at Xtreme, and was going to Xtreme when the pros spar at 2 pm.
