The "Loud Mouth" strikes again...
« on: January 07, 2009, 07:57:39 AM »
The wife had another hen's night at our house and the discussion of fetishes came up.

I was minding my own business as usual in another room but one part of the discussion caught my ear (I guess they were speaking louder than they realized). Anyway one lady (a bit on the chubby side) said that she has no problem with men being attracted to her "I guess some men like women with alittle meat on their bones" The loud mouth says "Oh honey don't kid yourself, those men that are attracted to you probably have a fatgirl fetish".

I was completely taken aback at how inconsiderate this woman (the loud mouth) could be. My wife said later that several of the so called "chubby" women in attendance were very hurt by what was said because now the others think guys only like them because they are overweight.

Many of the women questioned if the men in their lives are with them just to show them some type of "mercy sex" and/or get what they want because they feel that "fat/chubby women will take what they can get." (I was later told this is what the loud mouth said).

All that to ask this, just because a man or a woman has a preferrence in what he/she is attracted to in someone, e.g. (fat, skinny, tall or short etc.) does it make it a fetish?
Do you ladies feel that there is some truth to what the loud mouth said?

I just felt that the loud mouth was being very narrow minded and a bit terse about how people are attracted to each other. But she is a weird one so I should not be surprized at anything that comes from her mouth.

i guess you could characterize it as a fetish but then again who cares? get in where you fit in man

Iono this woman but she sounds like a money grubbing whore sorry for the language.

Next time shes dating a guy and if he has money tell your wife to say the only reason he is with her is b/c he knows he can get somebody like her to do anything or put up with anything he wants just so she can get his money... ;D see what she says.

Sounds like she is jealous of the other woman and wanted to take her down.

If the skinny chick was confident enough to say that I am assuming all are pretty good friends and maybe she has been around when the fat girls were spouting off about there weight and making light of it in a joking way.  I think the loudmouth was just making a joke but not in a hurtful way.  I do that shit all of the time.  Gets me in trouble too.

First off, why are they hanging out with her?

Secondly, she needs to be put in her place.  If i were you i would embarass the hell outta of her the next time she does something like that.

Loud mouth is more of a friend with my wife. I guess my wife is like the hub for these women, friends with all.

I don't think this woman has a funny bone in her body (BTW she is very fit, nice body) so no I do not think she was joking. I think she says things in insensitive ways most of the time. She always focuses on and replys in the negative. Example, I remember she was over to the house and one of my daughters friends was over and this girl has very bad acne, the loud mouth says "so what are you using to fight all pimples?" and she went on to tell her what she should or should not eat, what doctor to go to or not go to but she thought she was being helpful and this kid feelings were hurt.

Yes this woman can be very curt and I think she is just that way or maybe just jealous.

Honestly I think she is jealous of the thick girl, maybe she is too chipper for the Loud Mouth; always smiling and joking around and loving life! Loud Mouth is always miserable, very cranky and complains about everything.

I guess thats why I don't need to put her in her place her life is already a mess! Evidently her hubby hasn't stirred it up right in a long while he is always on travel.

If she's not jealous than she = the female version of Kramer.

Are people just silent when she does these things?  Maybe she doesn't realize she is rude?

I'd probably say "Damn, you say some of the rudest things" to open up a nice dialog about it :)

seems like there's always one in the group that likes being the shit disturber and "shocking" one, usually representative of a bad upbringing with absentee parents.

Well I light her up whenever she is rude to me (I pretty much treat her like a guy) everyone else just remains silent and ignores her for the most part. There is this one older lady (50 or so) that let's her have it and good other than that no.
She is not really rude to my wife but my wife is just too nice she is the type that sees a hurting soul so she tolerates most of her comments.

Yes I have! One thing she does do that pisses me off is she always makes comments about my ability to complete or the quality of my projects around the house. I had to lay in to her one time about a Clubhouse I built for my kids. "You should hire a contractor, this is not your area of expertise, it's a good thing kids won't notice the flaws", you know things like that! Of course I had to let her have it, I talked about her inability to be a good wife (in so many words) and maybe I should ask her husband to come help me build this thing so she could spend some time with him etc.

I am sure she will be over tonight again to exercise with the wife, so as long as she stays away from me and is out of the house by 8 it's cool with me.

Unreal!  Do you think she is trying to be rude or just incapable of empathy?  Maybe she has a disorder.

Print out some stuff on Sociopathy and give it to her with the name of a good Psychiatrist.  I'm sure she'll thank you :)

like i said earlier.  Embarass the heck out of her in the group.  Something along the lines of "the olny reason a guy will sleep with you is becaue its the only time you shut up.  after all it's probably hard to talk with your mouth full, or biting a pillow."  Or ask her if she is so miserasble because no man will want to be in a long term relationship with such a bitter and vindictive person and that she has to make herself feel better by belittling the people around her.  Just suggestions.

Or he could shorten it and after one of her put-downs just say:

"Why are you so miserable?"

and then just look at her and wait for an answer.   If she says she's not then go into the reasons he thinks she is re: constantly putting others down.  Then say, what can we do to help you?

Then she'll start crying etc and a big hug-fest can ensue while Hustle Man goes down the hall to watch When Harry Met Sally.

I think that anything that someone considers "outside the norm" a fetish.  Loud-Mouth probably considers large women outside the norm, when in reality it is more average than probably Loud-Mouth's size.

Oh Stella, you are so funny SOMETIMES

Thanks for your input LL and I agree with you. Loud-Mouth is in very good shape (She runs 10ks & Cross Country races etc), which in my neck of the woods is not average!
Maybe these average sized women ((Thick and thicker) In my neck of the woods) intimidate her with their confidence.
Maybe she is conditioned to feel that if a person is not in the same physical condition she is in, that person is beneath her.
But these women  (there are about 4 that come to Hen's night that I would consider over weight) are happy, and have great attitudes, awesome relationships with their S.O.s and she does not think this is possible if someone is overweight in her opinion.

I hope I made some sense there lol

BCS is on see ya!

What's wrong with having a fat girl fetish?

One of those women needs to smack "Loud Mouth" upside the head.

They should also make sure she sees "He's just not that into you". :)

or maybe the loudmouth girl took that comment as an insult and was put in a defensive mode because she's self conscious about her own image ?

Some yes; maybe 4 give or take an inch from the hips but certainly not with the breast the rest! I can't call it chief! Most of the women in attendance were average women IMO. Loud Mouth is tall and thin with breast implants (I know this for sure) DArk hair and grey eyes, she is a good looking woman but not to the point of insulting anyone.

Could be, don't know, but she is very belligerent toward other women (especially thicker women) IMO.
