Guy about 30, benching 2 plates a side, second rep, just a t-shirt with zero heating in the gym.
Fooking awful sound - chest just all bunched up by his armpit

Message is clear - warm up and cover up

He kind of panicked - he said the pain was getting more intense all the time, bruising was coming out after a minute. Never seen one before - not gonna forget this in a hurry.

Yea that shit is nasty, happened to my bro earlier this year. Especially in cold weather, warming up is a must.

Not a big lad - prob 180lbs. He claimed he warmed up but the t-shirt in zero temp is the culprit.

i always warm up really light on the cable crossovers or a few push ups to get a little blood flow in the chest. Then I start benching from 135 and start going up in weight.

I suffered a distal bicep tear a few years back doing deadlifts with straps. The strap broke. I didn't feel any pain until a few hours later, but I knew it was a bad scene right away. The bi was twitching and retracted about 1 inch, but no bruising for about 3 days. It was real shitty to deal with. Needless to say, I don't use straps anymore. Forearms have come up a lot since, and now got a killer peak on left biceps

Maybe he just came off a cycle and still thought he could train the same way he did when he was on gear........and oh yeah, maybe he didn't warmup long enough in the cold.
