I like it. It seems to give my immune system a boost, and helps me somewhat recover from my workouts. I recommend it.
I use 5 grams daily. Just drop it in my mouth, and take a swig of water to down it.

You my friend are experiencing the good ol placebo effect in full force as it doesnt do shit for your immune system but if you truely believe it does and trick yourself that it has immune stregthining properties then it will possibly help with the sole power of positive thought and not the supplement itself....

has it not been proven to help the immune systems of terminally ill people or seriously ill people
I think it has been used to help decrease/slow down muscle atrophy in AIDS patients. I rate it as a supplement. Definitely helps recovery.

as van bilderass said, there are tons of different little supplements that truly do increase gh quite a bit.
and as vanbilderass also said, it just doesnt mean much at all in terms of real worl benefits.

I don't think the "problem" is with bioavailability. Some of it does pass into the blood stream. Whether it's IV or through oral peptides it just does not increase muscle growth. If it did bodybuilders would be shooting it, better believe it.
So Van B, thumbs up or down? You're the appointed authority around here (gh15 approved).

Same. Use it this time of year for your immune system, otherwise, don't bother it won't do anything "BB"wise

simple question
he is not an expert in anything, no phd, nothing. Glutamine is useless for oral consumption, it degrades in hcl quite rapidly and becomes a substrate for gluconeogenesis via uptake of enteric mucosal cells. IV is different but oral has a very poor bioavalibility. I would opt for other particular aminos. where is this study, i see a guy saying a study, anyone have the paper? Im positive its a shit study.

Disgusted is a very well respected Contest prep guy. many professional men and female copetitors use him for their prep, and almost all of the time his competitors come in fantastic shape.

yes its a sad day. i like the guy, but he knows dick all about nutrition, he couldnt tell you the krebs cycle, what fructokinase or G6D is, cetripedal transport, what chylomicrons are or the steps in gluconeogenesis. he is a good guy but if he is claiming to be an expert, i feel bad for those with educations.

contest prep is pretty straightforward, its not rocket science. if he is claiming to be an expert in contest prep then i would agree, i thought he was claiming nutrition and exercise expertise.

i have nver seen a post from him claiming t be an expert. he just has "expert stars". anyway the guy has whole lot of real worl first hand experience with training, diet, drgs, contest prep, offseason diet. etc etc etc. the pro's pay him good money to help them out to look better.

I am not an expert, by any means.
But I took glutamine all day yesterday, even sipping glut/creatine with gatorade during my workout. I beat the shit out of legs for 75 minutes and thought I'd be limping today. I'm not. Very weird lack of DOMS.
I must have done a total of 7 sets of standard then front squats, followed by 4 sets of barbell lunges. Then leg press. Then lots of leg curls, glute machine, heavy ass calf raises...
Maybe the glutamine did it, then?
