hahahaha! yes!.........everybody was banging her but him. ;D

He was a real wiener.......He would claim to fight in local cage fights but he was never on the card and when he showed up to work..... he would have razor blade cuts above his eyes and wraps on his elbows or weird shit like that, but he was a pussy and would always "scream put me in a cage with him" ::)

So one night my friend choked him out...... it was so funny... even after that, he said put me in a cage with him and it will be different ;D

Oh also he would carry a pic of Chris Cook in his wallet and tell all the girls that was him when he was in the military.... hahahahahaha! I called it on him but that didn't stop him.

hahha, SS, sounds like a true getbigger to me.  You need to invite him on over. haha

Amazing movie, just watched it.  Rourke WAS the Ram....I thought Tomei turned in a great performance too.  Excellent.

They mentioned Afa, did anyone catch that when Randy was flipping thru pics in his wallet to find the one of his daughter, there was one of Afa in it? haha

His name is Mike Miller. I don't think he ever wrestled .   I think he is a friend of Dave Palumbos.

MICKEY ROURKE WINS ANOTHER HUGE AWARD FOR 'THE WRESTLER'
by Mike Johnson

Martin Drury sent the following....Mickey Rourke tonight won a BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) for Leading Actor. He dropped a couple of f-bombs in his acceptance speech, something not normally done at the BAFTA's but everyone loved him. I believe last year all four acting awards went to the same actors in both the BAFTA's and Oscars.....signs are good.

Saw this movie last week. It is one of the best movies I've seen in years. Seriously.

I just got home from watching it. Both me and my Lady believe it to be way over rated. Almost walked out even. That movie sucked. Who's it supposed to be about Balls Mahoney?! Marisa Tomeii's comeback role? She's desperate and she's done! It takes all kinds to make the world go around. You have your opinion. But mine is that that movie was absolutely terrible.
LOL, watched the DVD last night.........I got up after about an hour and hopped on the comp, my wife fast forwarded through most of the rest.

I thought it was boring, over rated. Could replace the "wrestler" with a baseball player or any other type of athlete and made the same story. :-\

chaos, that's the whole point.  A good movie should transcend and this one clearly does.  Surprised you didn't like it.  Of course I knew people who didn't like "Unforgiven" by Eastwood back in the day...

It is a very low key movie.  I think with the name people expected more "action" but it's more about the story than anything else.  I've talked to other guys who thought the same as you.  I guess because I'm old and washed up, it rings a little truer with me.  haha

I guess it depends on what type of movies you like. I go for movies about conceivably real people going through real life situations. So, I enjoyed it. If you like action adventure movies based on comic book characters, this might not be your film.

That said, it's hard to deny Mickey Rourke's performance.

totally true. Everybody can relate to it. Nobody wants to be alone. People want to be liked. One also likes to think that his life had meaning.

It is very easy to see how wrestlers could get wrapped up in such as scene and not realize they went too far until its too late.
