Won't he be about 54?

Anyway, he was all abs and thighs, was never known for anything else.

He was 120lbs before he began training. Most BBs are kinda slender before they hit the gym.

my gym owner brough him over for a show years ago.

said he was the most disappointing bbuilder ever. Hit 12 poses and left. Saying he always leaves them wanting nore.

Also said he was a midget, like i mean real small and that his arms could not have been more than 16.5"

he said he was always playing with his hari and was very disappointed in him

Sounds like he's bitter that he had to pay a top pro big money for an appearance, and due to his poor marketing skills/event planning, did not get the revenue he expected. And he was jealous of his hair.

ic was freidnly with bill pearl, reg park, he trained bill richardson etc

has tons of cool stories. Just said that tom platz was very disappointing. He also said lou ferrigno was shrewd to deal with, lucky for him he neer had to.

but above all he rated bill pearl as the nicest man ever and huge and insanely strong

An ex-girlfriend of mine had dinner with Tom Platz once, sometime in the first half of the Eighties.

She still had a T-shirt he gave her, featuring his face and some 'eagle' wings, and the above-and-below legend Tom Platz... Mr Universe.

I think the guy deserved to take the O just once, but hey. Maybe he couldn't bring himself to shove his head up Joe Weider's asspipe, like one or two others.

Not mentioning any specific Lees... er - Haneys... er - names!!

, well each to their own...

After his bicep tear things were pretty much done for him, he hid it well in his posing, and I think thats when he started using briefer posing routines, but the damage was done.
Probably did the best out of all his contemporaries from guest posing/seminars. I think he competed against 6 different Mr O's in his time, and was always a threat.

That teen pic of Platz posing, it appears at that time he was focussing his training upon upper body, as many guys do to begin with.

But I think you can see the potential in those legs, even then. Like Larry Scott, I think Platz wasn't blessed with wide shoulders or large clavicles. Didn't matter so much in Scott's day.

But like Scott before him, he made the most of his shoulders by building cannonball delts.

Arnold had shitty-looking sloping traps. That's what I think. But he too hit the delts to draw the eye.

After all, as has been said many times, illusion is a big part of BBing.

Platz & Gaspari were intense. They motivated and gave hope to the "hardgainers" back in the day. Both were not naturally wide, and had blocky structures, but overcame genetic "flaws" through sheer hard work, massive amounts of anadrol, dbol, deca, test & later gh.

No you're fucking out of your mind. Look at Dave Draper, Bill Pearl, Lou Ferrigno, Serge Nubret, Sergio when they were all 60. Look at any of the old timers when they were 60. They all aged much better.

i've met Draper in person a few years ago and he DEFINITELY looks 60+, very rough in the face, RIPPED TO FUCCKING SHREDS though, arms look like a road map, lean and small.

Dave is 67 years old. He looked even better 10 years ago when he was Platz age.

wow, I thought people liked Tom. he is down and you guys kick him. after a career of eating red meat and doing drugs to make that upper body match the lower, it takes a toll on the body. how about a little support for the golden eagle.

I have talked to Tom's wife Dr Cha many times and Tom just once on the phone. Tom is doing great and eating a very healthy diet. Dr Cha is very knowledgable about nutrition and having your body heal itself without drugs.
