Illegals not only cost us more in the overall analysis, they also don't contribute to the overall taxation that sustains our government programs.  Actually, we miss double the taxes. Many/most of them don't pay income tax, state, local, or any of that, and their employer doesn't pay payroll tax on them.  It may decrease the cost for the business owner but the rest of us have an increased tax burden because our gov can't afford all the programs it sponsors.
So, they have many of the same benefits we do, for free.

That is not true.

Most illegal aliens aspire to get a green card. Some of the pre-requisites of getting a green card is that you pay taxes and that you do not have a criminal record (I think they've added not having a weird-ass tropical jungle disease to the list). If you do none of this, when called in to finalise the documentation, and you fail to present the necessary tax returns you're not given Da Card.

In any case, federal, state or local taxes are only a part of the taxation scheme. The illegals are forced to pay for all other taxes though (sales tax, W&L tax, etc).

I've posted numerous times on this board about the billions wasted on illegals; once at the request of Hedgehog.  It's not hard to find...Google is your friend.

I know, but that's the thing: When I google it I get information that contradicts what you are saying too. That's why I'm asking.

I, for one, wouldn't present what you say as "fact". I'd present it merely as "opinion".

It's not hard. And it makes you look good.

Like I said, I've posted actual numbers from studies.  The bottom line is everyone knows how illegals work but the bleeding heart liberals think we need to take every piece of shit from around the world and give them a home.  We get Mexican criminals, identity thieves, and people who NEVER assimilate.  Not the America I want to live in.

Don't bring in any of that "liberal" bullshit.

What you say about them not wanting to assimilate... Just pure bullshit.

Slapper have you ever actually seen illegals operate first-hand? Have you ever been in the check-out line behind 10 of them, and watched all 10 use WIC and foodstamps, yet can't speak a word of english?

Your views on this subject reek of isolationism and idealism.

No, for the life of me, I cannot understand how we can expect people who haven't even graduated from primary school to learn another language "on a dime". The second and third generations have always assimilated. This has always been the case with immigration to the US, be it Irish, Italian or Polish.

I ignore why we're all of a sudden using a different human understanding "protocols" when talking about these people.

Is it because they are not white?

I am in woodlawn and we hav estimates of 40,000 illegal irish in my hood and the neighboring woodlawn section of the bronx.  They should be booted out as well.

You only live 30 minutes from Yonkers.  Drive down, Ill meet you, on morning to Yonkers Ave. and you tell me what country you think you are in.  Guess, its not the USA, more like Mexico City.

Those who immigrated from Europe decades ago were not from a thirld world poverty stricken country.  That's the problem.  We are importing poverty.  Mexico is a third world country.

The European immigrants of yesteryear also did not come here and immediatly hop onto the littany of welfare programs that are available nowdays.

How about declining public handouts until someone can proove 10 years productive residence? That in itself would grossly mitigate the illegal immigration problem.

They can live here for years and not learn anything... Yet can understand right away how much that food stamp is worth...
