or $25 i can get 20lbs of boneless skinless chicken breast.  This equates to 80 servings,  35.6 g protein each, 189 cals, 2g fat.  How many servings of protein powder do you get for that price?

3.5 oz chicken breast has 30 grams of protein.
20 pounds = 320 ounces
320 / 3.5 = 91.4285714 x 30= 2 742.85714
So there is 2742.86 grams of protein in 20 lbs of chicken breast.
H.E.B sell CB at 3.99 a lb.
so $80 bucks + taxes gives you 27423 grams of protein?
someone check my math ;D

gnc whey protein has 5440 for 20 lbs at 19.00 on website without gold card.
97.55 + taxes to get the same amount of protein
75 bucks + taxes if you used the gold card tho.

I put whey in a shaker with 5g glutamine, 5g creatine, and 80g dextrose in my gym bag.  After I lift but before cardio I drink this with 32oz water and take 8-10 units of Novolog.

Whole food is always better for your metabolism but after workout you want faster digesting protein

So your suggesting that pros do not ever take a protein shake after a workout?  Or when they are rushed between a meal?  Yes I know its overhyped but your out to lunch if you think they dont use protein powder at all case closed Mobil

Yep. Usually EAS. Sometimes it's a different kind (can't think of the name, but it's a good whey as well).

In 2008, protein prices went through the roof due to a shortage of protein and more demand in Asian countries.  However, prices started to stabalize last September or so, and now, some companies are starting to lower their protein prices just a bit.

$24.99 for a 2lb jub is ok, depending on what kind of protein it is.  There are many type of protein out there, but use the Nutrition Board for that discussion.

shortage of protein?  :o

damn those "bodybuilders"  ::)

i guess u dont talk to alot of pros or top bbers... newb.. keep spending your money on shi+ . a olympian told me back in 2001 before he became big and now a olympian. told me himself he didnt take it.. hint hint.. around 2001 before he became a top famous pro, now dethroned. fda doesnt regulate supplements so they can put whatever claim they want on the bottle. congrats for blowing money on shi+. isnt there a class action lawsuit on bsn for false claims??
