Did I get ripped off from GNC on protein?

i paid 25 bucks for 2lbs flavorless whey protein, gnc brand.  that is much more expensive than i remembered. what do u guys think? hopefully the quality is good

yah, i dont know what the hell was up with the prices..i just figured milk must have got alot more expensive. i guess i got screwed. oh well, i wil be more thrifty in the future. i think iam going to order the recession package from trueprotein

I just stopped by the gnc on the way back for school. I ask the sale chick if she had any cases of Oh yeah!. She said,"oh I remember you. I ordered some cases hehehe." ( :) or  :-\ )? anyway, it was buy one get one half-off. So now i got 2 cases of protein RTDs. ;D

In 2008, protein prices went through the roof due to a shortage of protein and more demand in Asian countries.  However, prices started to stabalize last September or so, and now, some companies are starting to lower their protein prices just a bit.

$24.99 for a 2lb jub is ok, depending on what kind of protein it is.  There are many type of protein out there, but use the Nutrition Board for that discussion.

The demand from China, Japan, Kong Kong, Phillipines and other countries in that area were greater than expected in 2008.

A lot of protein comes from New Zealand, thus much of that was diverted to those countries.

Things have stabalized now, especially with the world economy not doing great.
