I do I hate them and what they have done to our society.  You can't go anywhere without someone whipping out their cell phone.  It's very annoying especially at restaurants, public trans, and in clubs.  What I hate most is the feeling of having a leash on me.  When I leave the house I don't want people to get ahold of me.

Do you have to take it w/you?  I usually just keep mine in the car and it's off unless I want to call someone.  Or if I'm on vacation I'll have it at the pool to text or surf getbig

No I usually do turn it off or leave it at home, but still people call and when you don't answer...I don't know I just hate cell phones.  I can't imagine how bad it must be in schools.

yeah people definitely over use them, makes them feel important i guess

nowadays it seems people would feel like a loser if they are by themselves, so they whip out the phone to look cool

i saw on the news a young girl had texted like 30000 times in one month

does that mean she's cool or is she no better than somebody with 30000 posts on a forum?

Speaking of schools, I heard kids in Hawaii can use cell phones whenever they want during school.  Can someone verify that?  Beachbum?

Yeah I'm sure it was useful but what about the thousands of other accidents that are CAUSED by cell phones?  Before cell you phones yes you have had to walk to a pay phone or nearby house or business to call police, you still would have gotten the help you needed.

Very true. It's funny how things have changed. Sadly, what should have improved life for us, seems to do the opposite. I can't go to a fucking movie without some idiot pulling out their phone and texting. If your text is THAT FUCKING IMPORTANT that you need to be replying during a fucking movie (others are trying to enjoy), you should have stayed home.

Another thing, I can't stand when people "drive" while suing their cell phones. I guarantee you that 99.999999 of those calls are about retarded subjects, that really, could wait. I don't understand how someone can justify being behind the wheel of a 2k+ moving bomb, while distracted.

I can understand a brain surgeon talking someone thru surgery, thus pulling out his/her phone and talking. But some fucking bimbo, talking about the no-talent tool that got voted off American Idiot.....

But what can one expect from a society that submerses itself in the "all about me" line of thinking.


Bottom line is, most people these days are careless, thoughtless, self absorbed, wind bags.
