Yeah your right. He should blow out his kidneys and liver so he can look like that year round all while the getbig idiots sit here and flame away at "HE ALMOST DIED FOR YOU BITCHES" and "WHY COME HE TAKE ALL THOSE DRUGS TO BE HUGE?". Just more garbage thrown his way. The fact of the matter is getbig would bitch either way.
i mean that i agree that while a guy is Mr. Olympia he shouldn't be otsized by anyone, even in clothes, After Ronnie retired he looked smaller but when he was on top and a few months offseason at 320 pounds no one in the world outsized him.

Who cares. People said Kevin should have been Mr. Olympia and he shrunk down to 190 pounds when he didn't compete.
Sorry, In his prime time and contest days, HE HADNT SHRUNK LIKE BBERS OF NOW A DAY.
He shrunk after his retireing.
Dorian and Ronnie had been always big and freaky.

DEX IS STILL COMPETING.

Everybody care. Nobody want to believe in small O.

It doesn't matter. Bodybuilding shows aren't judges 2 weeks after a show. It's about how you look the day of the show. Why don't we have Greg Kovacs as Mr. Olympia? He was 400 pounds when he wasn't competing. Yes, everyone looks good on stage. It is a bodybuilding show. By you saying that you are showing that you haven't been to many shows. By good i mean, abs, tan, whatever. Considering that 70% of Americans aren't even capable of getting that because they don't have the discipline to diet down. That is why the dumbest comment you can receive as a competitor is "Ohhhh but you looked good up there". I get pissed off every time i hear that. You only look good if you are number 1. If you want to get on someones good side just tell them how good they look even if they look like shit and they will be indebted to you hahahahaa.

Wow.

Kovac was big but didnt look good,
Take coleman for example when he was mr O, HUGE on stage HUGE in clothes and looked good. Same goes for Cutler. Just the way a mr O should be.

NOT like dexter.

i saw Ronnie in person in 2000 a few months before the Olympia at about 315 pounds and pictures don't do him justice, i've never seen someone with that type of thickness, dude was in clothes and still was so thick that he looked 3 dimensional, fuccker looked 4 feet thick from the front to back.

Bullshit.. Levrone would shrink down in the offseason to 190 pounds. The fact of the matter is the human body is probably one of the least aesthetic looking things to walk this earth. It's ugly, it stores fat in odd places, it grows hair, and it is extremely hard to maintain looking good. Humans don't have natural beauty like other animals do. We are all a bunch of smelly apes who think we are the best thing to walk this earth. To make it do something that is unnatural like bodybuilding places a lot of stress on it. You can't be in top shape year round.

I agree with this sentiment. Dorian Yates said the same thing a long time ago - he said that while 5'7", 210 lb guys can win other contests, the Mr Olympia winner is / should always be a big guy. When you tell the general population that a guy is Mr Olympia, meaning the best bodybuilder in the world, they'd expect to see a big, big guy - read 5'10" and above, 260 lb plus.

Dexter is obviously a great bodybuilder even though I personally don't like his physique at all and he only won last year cause the big guys of quality were out of shape or absent. I have no problem with the best man winning and nor do most people, but that being said, most of us would still like to see a huge, freaky behemoth win. And in bodybuilding, Dexter is big but not huge and dominant in the way Arnold, Sergio, Lee Haney, Dorian, Ronnie and Jay were during their reign.

OK. Kevin is NOT A MR.O.

Why dont you talk about MR.O like RONNIE, DORIAN , JAY AND HANEY?

THEY ARE BIG ALL YEAR  AROUND.

Im more then certain that it is their body and they can do what they think is necessary to come back again next year in good shape. Why do they have to be big year round? I don't understand. Because you say so? You have to understand the genetic variation that plays a huge role in all of this. Dexter is like me in that he started off as a lightweight. His body is NOT meant to hold all of that mass. Bigger bones/ frame will hold on to muscle mass easier and bigger bones will make you look like you have more muscle then you really do. Dexter could be having problems that aren't being disclosed. You don't know everything that is going on with his life/ health. Ronnie used to take a month off every year after the Olympia where he wouldn't do anything. Like i said, some people just hold on to mass easier then others.

Not while he was competing, my friend. I followed bodybuilding throughout the 90s till about 2005 pretty closely and nearly all of those years, Kevin was competing in both the spring contests as well as the Olympia and the Grand Prix shows. Those years he didn't compete in the March shows he still attended them cause he was actively involved and he never went below 230 lb. He obviously took a break from whatever high amounts of juice he was taking to look the way he did onstage, but he never went off it completely.

It's only since he gave it up altogether and started pursuing movie roles that he slimmed down big time. If you don't believe it, feel free to post a pic of K Lo from the 90s or even before 2006 where he weighs 220 or less - you won't find any. Earl might be able to shed some light on this and back up what I'm saying.

OK. What do you mean? Dexter is like proportional type like you. So, you deserve to be a Mr.O? ;D

All joke aside,

Mr.O is a role model and champ and represent what the bbing is. Its all about muscle. Dont forget about it.
Not only Mr.O contest, he does various guest apperance. And all you see is a tiny bber signing in the stand who cant even beat the amateur bber in size.... :-\
Its sad isnt it?

Small bone? Its a excuse. The Mr.O should be  NO.1 in every aspects.PERIOD.

I must have gotten the picture time line confused but i could have sworn there was one of him at about 190 when he was out of shape and still competing. Everyone used to talk about the amazing transformations he would make. Anyway i can use Arnold as an example. I could perfectly understand why someone wouldn't want to walk around bloated year round. When you see someone hold on to so much water it makes you question if their kidney function is ok. I have seen guys walking around with yellow tinted eyes. It isn't healthy. You can diet yourself into kidney failure if you aren't careful and on the flip side of that you can eat yourself into having clogged arteries and heart problems.

I don't know where you got that from. What i meant was he is a guy who worked his way up slowly from bones to what he is today. He isn't one of these one hit wonders who loads himself up with drugs and then fucking retires after 5 years of competition. You blow up young and you will burn out young. Im saying he is doing what is best to keep himself in the game. Considering the fact that he has probably beaten a record in the amount of prize money he pulled in this year i'd say he has just a little bit of an idea of what he is doing  ::).

Everyone used to talk about the amazing transformations he would make. Anyway i can use Arnold as an example. I could perfectly understand why someone wouldn't want to walk around bloated year round. You can diet yourself into kidney failure if you aren't careful and on the flip side of that you can eat yourself into having clogged arteries and heart problems.

The whole 'being bloated and massive beyond belief' look in the offseason started with Dorian Yates. Doz was big boned and he was a terrific responder to juice like K Lo. So he'd balloon up to 310 - 320 lb in the offseason during his competitive years. And he was so dominant, not to mention the way he looked at over 300 lb was so freaky that people talked about it everywhere. That started a trend among his competitors to put on tons of weight in the offseason, although there were also notable exceptions like Shawn, Kevin and Milos.

But the magazines picked up on the fact that the bodybuilding fans loved seeing guys like Dorian, Paul Dillett, Nasser, Fux, Francois and Ronnie going over 300 lb cause it was a very freaky look that hadn't been achieved by bodybuilders prior to the 90s. That's why even guys like Tom Prince did the same and ended up paying the price. The majority of the fans like bodybuilders to look freaky and there's no denying that a guy who is 5'11" or under who weighs over 300 lb at sub 12% bodyfat looks out of this world.

The downside to that is a lot of the new guys rely on things like insulin and tons of calories to boost their bodyweight up, rather than focus on training heavy and packing on the size that way. That's why there's a big difference between the guys from the 90s and the guys nowadays, who weigh the same or more, but have relatively lesser cuts, separation and maturity. Dorian and Ronnie set the standard for muscularity and we need to wait and see if someone comes along who can up the ante some more.
