I used to bang a chick from Baltimore. I think the city was columbia. Also my car broke down on highway 41...pulawski. Very shitty

Nice. Columbia is actually south of Baltimore. Howard county.

Pulaski Highway does suck. There is a pretty good strip club off it though.

What did I miss? Elaborate on Billick and Ray. Been working my ass off so I haven't been able to keep up with the latest.

i was basically saying that billick and ray made the rivalry more interesting

if they are both gone the rivalry won't seem the same

The Ravens are franchising Ray. That has to be the move. They can't put the franchise tag on Suggs again because he probably won't commit to a long term deal if he's tagged a second time. With Ray Lewis being almost 34 years old, signing him to a one year contract with the franchise tag makes sense. At some point his productivity has to drop. It may be during the 2009 season where Ray's game noticeably drops off. If that happens, it makes it easier to part ways with him after '09. Hate to see it happen but at some point both parties have to move on.

I see Ray playing into his late 30's with probably two other teams. I doubt he finishes his career as a Raven with the modern salary cap era. It would be nice but it has to make financial sense so that it doesn't hurt the future of the team.

Whoops, wrong again!

Terrell Suggs was slapped with the franchise tag to avoid having him hit the open market. I guess the Ravens and Suggs couldn't agree on a contract extension after all. The tag prevents him from hitting the open market.

As for Ray Lewis? Things are about to get interesting.....

It seems that Ray Lewis grossly overestimated his value in free agency. Ray and his agent have not scheduled one visit with another NFL team so far. Lewis is said to be fuming over the lack of interest for his services.

Count the Dallas Cowboys out of the running. They just signed inside LB Keith Brooking out of Atlanta to a three year deal. The Ravens have offered a three year 24 million contract with 17 million guaranteed. No competing contract offer to drive up the price either.

Ray...I love you bro but the reality is that you're not 28 years old, dude. If you were, you would be able to sign the richest contract for a defender in NFL history. You're going on 34 years old and while still playing at a high level, you were destined to be a lifetime Raven.

Welcome back! ;D

22 million.  + 6 draft choices in the first 100 selections of the draft.  4 of them in the first 62 choices.

Think so? I'm not quite so sure but you never know. Who are their current ILB's in the 3-4? Mayo and who else? Bruschi?

I hope the Pats don't offer a contract to Lewis. He would probably take the offer. :-\

They had 3.2 to start.  They cleared 14.8 milllion for Cassel and 4 million for Vrabel.  They just signed James Sanders, so it might be lower than it was yesterday I have not looked.  That number will shrink again if they lock up Wilfork.

You're right about the picks.   One of three things is going to happen:

They finish rebuilding the defense and draft another wr

They use most of the picks on D and they go after peppers

They Rebuild the d further and trade out for 2010 picks

We are going to get a draft pick produces year one  as well as more production from Sweed. Need him to step up big time in order to repeat

What sucks for us is all the pats coaches going out and turning their teams into 3/4's.   Years ago it was just us.....now there are many teams.  Broncos, Jets, Cleveland, KC, Pats, Steelers, Niners, Packers....I think I'm forgetting a few.

I know....what are you talking about?  I said it was only 4 years ago that we were the only two 3/4 teams so the draft had a lot of players we could use.....now there are many others team who are competing for our players.

my bad..yeah all your coaches went elsewhere and implemented it...miami, new york (jets) cleveland.
This is the difference in the 2 best Pats and Steelers

Steelers do it with great athelets in the front 7 and the safeties...
Pats do it with great line smart linebackers and funnel everything short to the corners who just sit and wait on the pass...Bill=football mastermind

Speaking of Ray Lewis, he has reached an agreement to re-sign with the Ravens to four or five year deal. It will be announced sometime next week.

Good to see an NFL icon finish his career with the same team that drafted him. (I hope--anything can happen in today's NFL)

This is true. Pretty amazing that he's been a Raven since the team came to Baltimore in 1996. He is Mr. Baltimore Raven.

I would not be surprised if Ray played out his new 3 year contract and signed with another team. Wouldn't surprise me one bit. Ray Lewis is a freak of nature who will play into his late 30's at a high level.

There's not one black player in the NFL who wouldn't want to play for another black head coach.
