Is he suggesting that white people are inherently wrong? I’ll not pretend that racism hasn’t, or doesn’t, exist in America. I’ll not pretend as though many perpetrators of racism don’t have white skin. But isn’t broad value judgments made of people based on the color of their skin something we’re supposed to be avoiding?
What about all the white people who aren’t racist? Who have never uttered a racist word, and have not only never owned slaves themselves but aren’t even descended from slave holders? What about white people who just don’t care what color somebody’s skin is?
Do those whites need to embrace what is right too, or do they just get lumped in with the rest of the oppressors?
