Anybody remember the original beast, Edwardo Kawak?
« on: January 21, 2009, 05:20:56 PM »
Who on this site remembers the original 80's beast Edwardo Kawak? He competed in NABBA for years and was one of the best. Then he went to the IFBB in 86 and competed with them for a few years. The man was a freak. Take a look at this link to his 88 olympia routine. What the fuck would this man have looked like with todays protocols. Edwardo died last year I believe. All hail one of the original beasts.

Maybe not a beast by todays standards. But trust me, if you were actively involved in the sport in the 80's, he was a beast.

I saw him competing several times in the 80īs (WABBA & IFBB). After his Bodybuilding-Career he was a gym owner in France. He was found dead (1-2 years ago) in a Hotel in China.

He had a heart attack.  Even with today's supplements, the end result is the same.  Some people are predisposed to having a heart attack after age 40

first name is actually spelled Edouard, but was listed in the mags as Edward, Ed, and Eduardo.   Born in Lebanon, lived in France, died while traveling in China.
