It looks like you can roughly zoom 30 times both horizontally and vertically before it starts pixelating. So, around 30 x 30 x approx. 1.5 Mpixels which is close to 1,400 megapixels. I think there's a 1000x mistake in the scale, whoever quoted the original resolution. Good catch!  :)

All I know is that the current top camera systems Hasselblad, Mamayia etc are not even close to 100 megapixels.(excluding whatever NASA has in store for the next Hubble telescope)

The photographer most likely has done a panorama and if he has, it's VERY good one.

You probably got his name from an Onlyme post cause Keith was invited as a special guest at a charity fundraiser where he shared a photo op with him after blowing into a hot water bag and making it explode as part of the opening act.
