That being said, its probably about time for Don to retire. Between the synthol, gyno, torn quads, bloated stomach, and kidney problems, his bodybuilding career has seen its better days. Nice guy though.

A sad glimpse into the life of 'professional' bodybuilding. So very sad.

Like it has been said countless times before on GetBig....the IFBB and the IFBB "Athletes Rep" ( ::) ::) ::)) do not have the BBers best interests in mind. They are only interested  in sucking as much cash out of these guys as possible before they croak, get injured or have organ problems.

Don Long, SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED ON STAGE. He looks like he is about to die and his body is failing him. He gets a new kidney and is on expensive dialysis and he continues to pump himself full of drugs....sickening. I realize the he is a grown man and is capable of making his own decisions but this is out of whack.

Chick will undoubtedly say that it is his choice, but the very fact that he is allowed on stage only lets Don Long think he can return to glory. If Chick is truly an "athletes rep" (which is a joke look at Don Long and the Asian BBer with the heart surgery) he would have shut down Don Long sometime ago.

And at the end of it all is what? He looks like shit and the truth is that the kidney he got (even if it was from a relative) could have been better used on someone else who isn't delusional and suicidal.

Oh he will claim he is drug free.

I'm sure he is.

Drug free....does that include his immuno-suppressants for his soon to be 2nd fried kidney? Or how about his dialysis.

I bet he will say that the IFBB Athletes Rep has hooked him up with a Kidney Guru.

His biceps look to be full of oil as well.... :-\

Great job Chick, way to be part of a "Responsible" organization and let broken men with new and/or broken organs pump themselves full of drugs and kill themselves!

Of course, it's there choice right? If that's the case, why even bother to provide health care or even have an "Athletes Rep"....what a joke.

All is Well!

I mean besides the BBers that died, Dim, and Tom Prince? And of course what Nasser has become? Isn't this guy the saddest story BB has ever seen?

Good post.

Maybe you should ask "Athletes Rep" Bob Chicariello about the health care "plan".... :-\

What do his friends and family say to him? I guess it doesn't really matter because he sure isn't listening?

Maybe he wouldn't have a choice to try and recapture his past "glory" (if you can call it that) if the IFBB said "Don, you've just had a kidney transplant and are on dialysis, immuno-suppressant drugs etc etc, this organization cannot, in good conscious, let you compete again." That would be a responsible org. doing the right thing. Instead he gets to continue killing himself and wasting a good liver..

Another great move by the IFBB and their puppet, the "Athletes Rep"  :-\

According to Chick, Don has his doctor's approval to compete.
