The Wrestling Observer is reporting that WWE has taken out $200 million line of credit with JP Morgan Chase Bank.  WWE said they would be doing this because interest rates are low right now and it would be used to help finance the new television network which is set to launch sometime in 2012. Vince McMahon stated earlier this year that the company would be willing to go into debt spending, which is something they have avoided doing in past years for any project.

As she did in 2010, former WWE CEO Linda McMahon will run for the United States Senate as a Republican in Connecticut. “Ladies and gentlemen, I’m a proven job creator, and today I am a candidate for the United States Senate,” McMahon announced this morning.

Jerry Lawler was legitimately injured last night when Mark Henry put him through the table with the World's Strongest Slam. From what I have heard, the table did not give way as expected and Lawler was in extreme pain in his lower back.

Lawler was taken to a local hospital via ambulance to be checked out for kidney and lower back damage. We haven't heard anything additional as of this writing, but will update when we do.

Death Before Dishonor IX results

Results Courtesy of Bryan Alvarez and F4WOnline.com:

1. Tommaso Ciampa & Rhino beat Homicide & Jay Lethal. Fine opener. Lethal got the hot tag and it broke down into a four-way. Homicide tagged back in, Lethal took out Rhino, then Ciampa pinned Homicide with his back cracker finish. Ciampa was by far the greenest guy in the ring, but he got the pin.

2. Shelton Benjamin beat Mike Bennett. Highlight of the match was the various chants, nearly all directed at Mike Bennett, whom the crowd HATED. I mean, they hated this man. He got the heat and worked over Shelton's back. Shelton did the big comeback, then Brutal Bob hit the ring right in front of the ref. It was like a TNA finish, the difference being that they actually did it very well so I was fine with it. And nothing got sprayed in anyone's eyes. Shelton tried to kick Bob, Bob spun him around, Shelton did his kick but hit Bennett, which looked great, then superkicked Bob outside and hit the paydirt on Bennett for the pin.

3. Young Bucks beat Bravado Brothers and Future Shock in a three-way elimination match. This was a hell of a lot of fun. It was like one long train wreck with a bunch of really cool three-way spots mixed in. Fans loved it and were chanting "THIS IS AWESOME!" and "THIS IS WRESTLING!" Bravados were eliminated first, then the Bucks used their combo 450/moonsault finish for the pin. The whole point of this match appeared to be to put over the Bucks and alert the world that they were, in fact, very talented despite what "a third-rate wrestling announcer" might have claimed. This was a reference to Booker T, obviously.

4. Generico NC Jimmy Jacobs. Only problem with the match was that it was largely heatless. The work was very good. Generico went for his top rope brainbuster but Jacobs turned it into a super DDT. Suddenly, through the crowd came Kevin Steen. He was SHOOTING on the mic and they cut him off, then security came out. The highlight of the brawl was when Generico tried to do a running dive onto him but Steen moved and Generico wiped out like twenty security guys. That was awesome. Steen tried to give Cary Silken the package piledriver, but it was broken up, then Cornette came out and was screaming at Steen and even threw a wild punch. Fans were super into it, screaming for Steen. The melee was very much like the one they ran with him on the last PPV.
5. Charlie Haas beat Michael Elgin in a House of Truth vs. Haas of Pain match. Match also lacked crowd heat. They did get into the big spots, including a run-up-the-ropes German by Haas, which flipped Elgin completely over. He also took a 360 bump for a Haas clothesline, which ended up being the finish. Good match, nothing blow-away or anything.

6. Roderick Strong vs. Eddie Edwards in the Ringmaster Challenge. Rules were the first fall was pinfall only, the second fall was submission only, and the third fall was a fifteen minute Iron Man match. Long story short, they split falls, Roddy winning the first via pinfall and Eddie winning the second via submission, then they ended up 1-1 at the end of the Iron Man match. Cornette came out and said this match wasn't ending in a draw, and they weren't doing the five more minutes gimmick, he was just going to ring the bell and they could go all night long. They traded a million nearfalls and hard strikes before Eddie finally hit him with two powerbombs, a lariat and a die hard cradle driver for the pin. They went about 40 minutes and it was an awesome match. They said Eddie won a future shot at Davey Richards' ROH Title. Richards, for the record, is in Japan working right now.

7. Rhett Titus & Kenny King beat the Briscoes in Ladder War III to win a future shot at the ROH Tag Team Titles. A wild, bloody, violent, nutty brawl. The peak was a spot where Mark Briscoe climbed to the very, very tippy top of a 12-to-15 foot ladder and did a big splash, putting Rhett Titus through a table on the floor. This was complete madness. Everyone but King bled, and Jay in particular was bleeding like crazy, blood just leaking out of his head like a faucet. Rhett and Mark were dead, so Jay and Kenny climbed the ladder and had a brawl at the top. Kenny ended up winning, Jay fell off the ladder, and Kenny grabbed the contract to win. This was the kind of match that WWE's "PLEASE DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME" was referring to. But a hell of a way to cap off the show.

you could see the table was broken at an angle and not flat like it should have been.

Tommy Dreamer vs. Terry Funk
Perry Saturn makes his in-ring return,
Hacksaw Duggan, Fit Finlay, Lita, etc...

This actually looks like a potentially interesting card: http://www.wrestlezone.com/news/243100-press-release-king-of-hardcore-funk-vs-dreamer-at-awe-ppv
I expect them to draw a decent house for this.

WWE Hall Of Famer Kevin Von Erich recently gave his opinions on some current wrestlers and aspects of the WWE product.

"The WWE supercard last night was bad. The cage used to be for the blow off to a big feud. Now they use it to set up the next TV taping.Sad

Texas has produced some great talent................. Mark Henry is not one of them. Damn he is boring. Texas produced great talent like @ShawnMichaels_ . Although he was a real jerk as a human being. Undertaker is a true pro.

@WadeBarrett is a guy who would have fit in great in the old territory days."

Von Erich also had a back and forth with Chris Jericho.

Von Erich: "Chris Jericho is another guy I never saw anything in. He is a prima donna."

Jericho: "At least i wore boots in the ring :)"

Von Erich: "But you didn't wear a good attitude. I don't mean to come down on @IAmJericho but he has an exaggerated opinion of his abilities. I might not have worn boots when I worked but I also didn't get blonde highlights in my hair when I was in my 40s."

HAKU REVEALS THE TRUTH BEHIND THE INFAMOUS RUMOR THAT HE BIT SOMEONE'S NOSE OFF DURING A FIGHT DEFENDING PRO WRESTLING

Ask almost any wrestler to name the toughest star in the business and chances are, they'll say his name. Now, the man, the King, the legend - "Haku" Tonga Fifita joins James Guttman on ClubWWI.com for a shoot interview the world has been waiting for. In this rare and in-depth 47 minute interview, Haku leaves no topic off limits and talks about it all including the person who came up with the name "Haku", his answer to "who is the toughest wrestler you've ever known", the public reaction to the "kidnapping Matilda" storyline, what Giant Baba had Harley Race teach him in Japan, looking back on the King Haku gimmick years later, the Meng gimmick, and tons more. For a full list of topics, click here.

This is the Haku shoot you've been waiting for as James Guttman doesn't shy away from any topic. One big point of interest for many fans is Haku's legendary toughness. They discuss at length the reasons and ways stars had to defend the business from non-fans back in the 80s. As Tonga explained, he didn't do wrestling for fame. He did it to support his family back home and his wife and children in the United States. Anyone who disparaged pro wrestling was disparaging his livelihood and he took it personally. He explains it to ClubWWI.com members.

"That was my life. I have my parents. I have my family. Relatives. The thousands of cousins back home waiting for me to send them money to live on. I have that on my shoulders and I walk with that every day inside the ring and outside the ring. I have my brothers and sisters here - we could drive 500 miles one way to the town or 20 miles to the town and back trying to make a living in those days. I have that on my shoulders as I walk into the ring and out of the ring every day and drive home safely and whatever. We have a few beers here and there, but that was the business. That was the toughness in my heart and mind that I had to carry these things."

Because of that, Haku took it personally when people would criticize his wrestling family unfairly. As he tells Guttman, he would simply prove the reality of his ability when people tossed around the "fake" word.

"When I walk in and you tell me it's fake, I'll show you how fake the business is. Whether I take your teeth out or take your eyeballs off or whatever it was in those days. Maybe they're going to kick my butt around, but watch it - I'm coming back and finding you. But those were those days. I'm glad nobody picked up a gun and shot my ass. But in those days, that's how it was, James. It's my love for the business."

This leads to the question fans have been wondering about for years. Through second had stories and whispers, we've all heard about Haku once biting someone's nose off during a fight defending the business. Did it really happen? Was it just a tall tale? As the ClubWWI.com interview continued, James Guttman asked and expected to hear it was an exaggeration. Spoiler alert - it wasn't.

"Yeah. It was in Baltimore Airport. There was a hotel there. We were staying at another hotel - the Marriot or something. There was another hotel there, though. It was hopping at the time. The music was playing and it was packed. It was during the week I believe. Me and Siva Afi went over and there were lots of babyfaces there at the bar. So we went and sat in the other corner away from them. When they were ready to close, we had a few drinks, and on our way out there were five guys just sitting there. Of course, the same thing came out. The "fake" stuff. "Hey, are you guys with those guys - wrestlers? The fake wrestlers on TV?" You know. I said, "Yeah. I'll show you." And I reached over without thinking - there are four other guys there (laughs) - grabbed his face, and bit his nose off. Then the fight started. Me and Siva kind of cleaned house there and left. I'll never forget it (laughs)."

Haku goes on to discuss how the incident changed his career from that day forward and the changes in public understanding of pro wrestling through the years. After the answer, Guttman laughs and says, "I have to be honest. When I asked you that question, I expected you to be like, 'No! That's just something people say.' That's one of the craziest stories I've ever heard in my life." Haku tells ClubWWI.com members some of the troubles that sprung up from it, but ultimately he has no regrets.

"I'm still Haku. I'm still Tonga. My family - thank God for everything - still has bread and butter on the table. That was what happened at the time and how I love my business and I'm thankful for every promoter I worked for. I'm thankful for WWF and WWE and everybody because that was my life. My job, my heart, and my soul - it was wrestling."

The interview doesn't end there. James Guttman's in-depth 47 minute interview with the legendary Haku is just one of hundreds available on ClubWWI.com the moment you join up. From Jerry Lawler to Dennis Stamp, you can hear them all along with thousands of hours of audio from show hosts Paul Roma, Glacier, and World Wrestling Insanity staff.

I've heard lots of good things about Haku.
All reports indicate he was and is a decent guy; so long as you don't try causing him any problems.

How many past workers speak well of ANY promoter they've worked for?

Agree.  Always whining that they didn't get a fair shake.  It's cool to see someone who truly appreciates what he had/has.  Of course, promoters probably never double-crossed him either...  ;D

Chyna, who made her official debut as an adult star in Vivid's runaway hit movie Backdoor to Chyna, will receive the "Mainstream to Porn Crossover Award" at the Fleshbot Awards on Friday, November 11 in New York City.

"I'm really tickled by this award," said the former WWE Women's Champion in a press release. "I started having a great time from the minute Steven Hirsch of Vivid gave me the green light to make my first movie with his studio, it's been non-stop glamorous fun ever since. It's been quite a dramatic change for me to make the transition from being the 'Ninth Wonder of the World' to sexy porn star. But, I knew what I wanted and it turned out to be the absolute right decision for me. I'm loving every minute."

As soon as I saw your post, I suspected diabetes.

I work in a peripheral vascular lab; we see a lot of disease.
Diabetes produces some of the nastiest external limb complications - I'm talking about black, crispy toes that resemble a charred hotdog left too long on the grill...leg/foot wounds and ulcers that only worsen and never heal because of no circulation getting to the leg...

I'd say that smoking and diabetes are two of the biggest culprits of the gross disease states we see.
The worst part of it is BOTH can be controlled by people, and poor lifestyle choices are to blame.
They do it to themselves!

What does the future hold for John Cena and the Cenation? MSG was going off on Sunday night. Think Cena is gonna turn heel come Mania? I just don't see him beating the Rock at anything. Looks, mic, or in the ring. Cena has got to feel threatened.

I suspect that whatever WWE brass has in mind for Cena, he will be more than happy to go along with it.
Whether he agrees with it or not, he seems like the most compliant and cooperative star they've ever had.
That - along with the fact that he stays out of trouble - also makes him one of the SMARTEST stars they've ever had.

Honestly, how common is it to see upper-card talent in JC's position remain so humble and agreeable?

Come to think of it, Rock usually stayed out of trouble and didn't cause problems for management, either.
Hmm...
What do you think? Are you seeing some similarities between the two now, Timmy? ;)

Whatever you think of John Cena the character, you can't deny he's a model employee.

Not again surely? WWE need to think outside of the box for this last one and pull out ALL the stops to make it happen. Sting, Goldberg, Lesnar - someone that isnt associated with Vince but could put in a hell of a match.

ESPN's financial expert Michele Steele tweeted on Tuesday that John Cena was worth $106 million in retail value to WWE in 2011.

No further details were given to explain Cena's direct impact on WWE's business. It is speculated that the figure likely includes John Cena merchandise and an estimate of Cena's impact on PPV buyrates, live event ticket sales and advertising revenue from WWE programming that features Cena.

wrestlezone:

After speaking with sources, WZ can confirm that WrestleMania 29 is going to take place at MetLife Stadium, home of the New York Giants and Jets football teams.
This will be the first time this venue has held a professional wrestling event. WrestleMania 29 will also beat the NFL to the punch of having a major event there because WrestleMania 29 will take place in late March or early April of 2013 and the NFL is going to hold the Super Bowl there in February of 2014.
This is reportedly a huge success for Vince McMahon as he is wanting to hold the first big event at MetLife stadium and set an attendance record before the Super Bowl takes place there. Sources said McMahon had a big smile on his face for getting WrestleMania 29 at MetLife Stadium.
WrestleMania 29 taking place at MetLife Stadium will also give the New York market a WrestleMania which has some significance because WrestleMania 30 is not going to be held in New York's Madison Sqaure Garden as tradition would have it. WrestleMania 30 is going to take place at the Dallas Cowboys stadium located in Arlington, Texas.
WrestleMania 30 will not be at MSG because WWE wants to stick with only having WrestleMania at stadiums from here on out. Madison Square Garden is expected to continue to get big pay-per-views like it did with Survivor Series this past year.
