you sound like you think your better than others.you don't think it's possible for you to fall on hard time's and need the help of others?.I know a guy thats worked his ass off 2 sometimes 3 jobs at once to get what he got.and he has lost it all within the last 2 years due to this economy.he finally had to break down and get welfare for the first time in his life at age 46.you act like your shit don't stink.but trust me it does your ass hole attitude shows it.
you know nothing about me. I work for myself and started my business with $700.00 to my name.
After school, I was unemployed for 1 year and pounded the pavement and did anything I pcould for money. I worked a fence installer, a trainer at Bally's, a temp at UST, sold stuff on Ebay, etc.
I finally got a job for 10 an hour and was barely able to meet bills. I got fed up and quit and started my own business with literally $700.00 to my name. I knocked on doors, made cold calls, and kept going and going and going.
I finally convinced a plumber to hire me to do collections of bad debt all while not knowing a damn thing about collections. From there, I learned what I was doing and was able to get contractor clients all to do debt collection work. Now, I have many clients and many referrals.
6 years later, I own my own place with only a tiny mortgage, money in the bank, cash flow, etc.
Was it easy? No. It was hard, nerve racking, stressful, and at times, panic inducing. There is no such thing as 9-5. no such thing as two week vacations and sick leave. No such thing as personal days. Sometimes I go a week or two with no salary or pay at all. This is why I have ZERO sympathy for people who want the nation to engage in a pity party.
I know things suck, and believe me, my business feels it too, however, I went through a period of depression as well about my situation years ago and found out that crying and complaining about it does not work. No one likes a quitter or a loser.
What people need to be told is the damn truth. Life is hard, life sucks, life is not fair, and you have to deal with it and cope.
The only one you can rely upon is yourself to get you out of your problems, not the government.
For people who lose their jobs, it sucks, but they need not have a pity party. They should man up, hit the phones, hit pavements, or start a business. Toughen the fuck up!
Its embarassing to see a nation turn into little cry babies and wimps who refuse to do the hard physical work it takes to become self sufficient.
