He did.
That didn’t get him over, either.

Hogan bodyslamming Andre was the best feat IMO. No one at that time expected that to happen. Andre weighed 530lbs during WM3. When Warrior slammed him in 1989 in their house show match at MSG, Andre was already gravely ill and had lost about 150lbs. Hogan's slam was far more impressive and the crowd went nuts.

I loved when Hogan referred to that slam in subsequent promos.
He would often say something like, “As I picked up that 550 lb. giant…lifted him over my head…and…”

Everything in wrestling is exaggerated – particularly when a scoop slam (with a lot of help from Andre) magically turns into a Gorilla Press.
But even without Hogan’s embellishment, yes – the slam was very impressive. Hogan was a very strong dude, and in his prime, was quite a spectacle.

I'll never forget the crowd reaction to that slam. WM3 was defiantely one of the best WM's.

When Flyin Brian Pillman first arrived on the scene with the Bengals tights, he was a slender but toned little thing.  I was surprised to see him slam Norman the Lunatic and then deliver a text book suplex to him.  Wouldn't have thought that was possible.

Pillman reminded me a bit of Curt Hennig in the respect that he just had a great deal of natural talent, ability, athleticism – all with a good look to go along with it.

Often seemingly overlooked, it’s nice to see him mentioned here in the company of such good accolades.

a forgotten slam is Hogan slamming Andre following their match at WM 4, but it wasn't nearly as good as the WM3 one.

the warrior andre slam is crazy powerful.

I think the WM3 Andre slam tops the list, esp. when you take into account that it is the most famous moment in wrestling history.

Hogan did some crazy stuff to Bundy too - atomic drops, powerslams back in 86 etc.

He also suplexed bossman in 1989 which was pretty good considering bossman was 350 at the time.

I remember that card. Rude vs Warrior was a really good match. Piper interfered and cost Rude the title. Not too many people had good chemistry with Warrior but Rude did.

Goldberg hitting the Jackhammer on Show and holding him up perfectly for a couple of seconds

Bulldog picking Vader up onto his shoulders from being on all 4's, just insane strength. In the same match he catches Vader in the corner and does a walking powerslam on him  :o

Takers effortless tombstones on Mark Henry & Kamala

Sting holding Rude above his head for what seemed like FOREVER before walking across to one side and dumping him out

Big Show choke slamming Stevie ray was ridiculous. Ray was 300lb + and sacked it but Show just kinda said "fuck you!" and finished the move

Show pressing Kane with monumental ease before throwing him horrifically and nearly breaking his arm, his chokeslam on him was also the most impressive ive seen as he made Kane look like he was 150lbs. In his prime had unrivalled power

Ill list more if i can think of them..........

I found the other thread I was looking for; the one with bench press numbers.
I cannot vouch for the accuracy of the entire list, but many seem quite accurate based on other accounts I've heard & read.

For those interested, the BP stuff starts about half-way down page 1.

Goldberg was a god damn powerhouse in the shoulder department.

Giant was obviously pretty strong and coordinated for his size too, I remember when Buff Bagwell (who was 245) jumped on his back from behind off the top rope, Giant didnt even budge and threw Bagwell off like a damn toddler lol.

I remember Scott Steiner throwing Chase Tatem onto his shoulder like a 130lb teenager impressed the hell outta me, guy had some crazy core power for being smaller than the biggest guys. He also T Boned suplexed Giant around 96 i think without any help from Giant at all, and pulled it off flawlessly.

Scott Hall was actually pretty strong guy for being a tall lanky guy too
