Worst January ever for Dow, S&P 500

The Dow Jones industrial average and Standard & Poor's 500 finished their worst January ever Friday as investors eyed abysmal reports on economic growth and quarterly earnings.

The market .....PPT cough cough.......is doing everything it can to stay above 8K.  Closed right at 8K today!  Very strange.  Once it goes below it will be a free fall down to 6K or lower.  People have their head buried in the sand.  Things are going to get a lot worse...........a lot worse before they get better.  Our government cannot inflate their way out of this mess.  Obama is clueless.

I don't think he means it that way. I think what he means to say is that we will not get out of this mess by handing out "free money", which is what we're doing right now. That is what got us in trouble to begin with.

He is worse than clueless.  He is pushing a union agenda that will destroy even more jobs.

Obama has not yet figured we are no longer in the 1950's.

At the rate he is going, Carter is going to look like Lincoln.

I got duped? I did not vote for Obama. Although I must confess he was the best of all the candidates aside from Ron Paul.

The ones that got duped are the ones that voted for him because they felt that he was really bringing in a breath of fresh air into Washington. The problem is the capital is just a clusterfuck of lobbyists so far up the politician's ass that it is IM-PO-SSI-BLE at this point to get them out. If you think ANYONE (repugnant or tree-hugger) is going to bring about real change... think again!

Welcome to the DEMOCRACY SHOW.

Starring: The American People (or so they think).

Now, here's the new character America: The (half) Negro. Shut the fuck up America. We've got everything under control. Here's the black guy you always wanted. Go back to sleep America. As Bill Hicks would say.

Well, we can all pick our enemies. I've got mine and you've got yours.

Mine ARE NOT (obviously) unions.

do me a favor, look up "card check" and we will discuss it.  Its different than you think and many union members are against it.  The organizers and bosses are pushing it.

I need not check anything. Just this week my company laid off 2,000 employees, 20 of them in my department. The VP turned around, gave himself a nice bonus and bought himself a mansion in the Jersey shore. We got ZERO.

And that is just one of the rats.

The media is so fucking stupid. I work in healthcare and let me tell you.  WE ARE NOT HIRING.  Maybe a few jobs/open positions here and there.  But these talking heads on CNN are idiots for not realizing this crisis is affecting everyone including healthcare.  All these people being encouraged to go back to school and train for healthcare are going to be real pissed as this crisis gains steam and they've wasted more money and gone into more debt.

Yeah it's unfortunate.  Sonography is a pretty niche area in healthcare but still.  Hospitals are no different than any other business or corporation.  Plus with all these out of work people and unemployment sky rocketing I'm sure ERs will start looking like a doctor's office.

What about medical billing?

I might get back into medical collections.  I used to go after insurance companies, but it got boring for me.  I might look at that again.

I never had the heart to go after patients.  Now I just focus on construction industry collections.  Its a lot rougher, but I love it.  Kill or be killed baby!!!!!!

I don't know anything about medical billing to be honest bro.  I work in the patient care side of healthcare.  I know informatics is a hot field.

I could never do that.  It takes a special type of person for that.
