Before the current economic situation politics were dominated by de-regulation and small government prophets.

Guys like Francis Fukuyama, author of "The End of History and the Last Man", and other neo-liberal thinkers were held in high esteem.

Globalization and free trade were the shit.

Wall Street brokers and CEO's were our modern time heroes.

Unions were evil.

It seems like a few things are changing, at least.

Not everyone is so gung ho about free trade anymore.

Not everyone celebrates de-regulation.

I'm curious how far this will go.

Is there gonna be a radicalization of politics, and could we see the rise of Socialists and Communists due to people being disappointed with the old parties?

How do you guys see it?

From SEC website:

SEC Protecting Investors, Markets During Credit Crisis
During the current turmoil in the credit markets, the SEC has worked closely with other regulators in the U.S. and around the world to protect investors and the markets.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

What a load of bullshit.

Obama has been very clear about the stimulus plan improving the infrastructure (broadband, roads, bridges, schools, railroads, et al).

It's also been mentioned that money was to be used for making USA free from oil dependency (research and development).

So exactly what in the Obama plan is the Ron Paul-revolutionists againsts?  ::)

I see a whole lot of potential problems with the Obama plan.

But hopefully I at least know what his plan is.

These clowns doesn't seem to have the slightest.

The US government is an extension of corporate America and vice versa.  As usual the American people are so blind and divided they are forced to choose sides and throw propaganda at each other.  Just how the elites like it.  The government has been in bed with big business for the last 100 years at the expense of free market economics, the American people, and small business.  All of a sudden their game is coming to an end and people are starting to be affected and they want to play the blame game.  Typical.   ::)

It is what it is.

The lobby system, I mean.

I think many would be surprised if they found out how much power the different lobby organisations have in DC.

The number of registered lobbyists in Washington has more than doubled since 2000 to more than 34,750 while the amount that lobbyists charge their new clients has increased by as much as 100 percent. Only a few other businesses have enjoyed greater prosperity in an otherwise fitful economy.

This was back in 2005.  LMAO!  The US Government including past Presidents and Obongo are a fucking joke!  They are all puppets.

I just think it's crazy when people critize Obama and use Ron Paul as some icon, refers to him as the Messiah.

Ron Paul just means more of the same old, but even more de-regulation essentially.

I definitely like critisism of Obama, and guys like MuscleManus brings it.

He knows his shit IMO.

Hedge is alright but when he says something like this, "Ron Paul just means more of the same old", it makes me so glad he's not in any position of influence in American politics.

Obama's pork bill has only 5% for infrastructure.

Face it, Obama is a joke and the welfare king we all said he would be.

He obviously loves tax cheats the same way jorge bush liked illegal aliens.

Carter 2 on the way.
