in this months Flex Dexter claims that he ran the 40 in 4.19 and could dunk a basketball when he was younger and Heath claims he ran the 40 in 4.31, what do you guys think?

Those times are both lower than 99% of the NFL combine numbers. Darren McFadden ran a 4.27 at the combine and that's ridiculously good for a RB. I'd consider him a much better genetic specimen than them. I doubt those two could even run a 4.5.

Hahaha, I was being generous but you're probably right. If you've ever seen run a 4.5 even, it's ridiculously fast. Going down under 4.3 is crossing over into the world class athlete territory. Every year at the combine there are only a handful of guys who go down into the low 4.3's.

Just pulled this off wikipedia.

The NFL runs official 40 yard dash times that are timed by computers who go by a runners movement, here are some of the fastest times recorded.

   1. Darrell Green (4.09 @ Redskins Training Camp)
   2. DeAngelo Hall (4.15 @ Virgina Tech Pro-Day, indoor track)[3]
   3. Brian Witherspoon (4.18 @ Alabama Pro-Day)
   4. Deion Sanders (4.21 @ NFL Combine)?
   5. Patrick Boyce (4.21 @ Manhattan Collegen Career Day)
   6. Erik Burg (4.21 @ St. Cloud State University Pro Day)
   7. Donté Stallworth (4.22 @ 2003 Tennessee Pro Day)
   8. Michael Bennett (4.23 @ University of Wisconsin Pro Day & NFL Combine )
   9. Willie Parker (4.23 @ 2004 North Carolina Pro Day)
  10. Chris Johnson (4.24 @ NFL Combine)
  11. Fabian Washington (4.25 @ 2005 NFL Combine)
  12. Randy Moss (4.25 @ Marshall University)
  13. Rondel Menendez (4.25 @ University of Eastern Kentucky Pro-Day 1995)
  14. Champ Bailey (4.28 @ 1999 NFL Combine)
  15. Jerome Mathis (4.28 @ 2005 NFL Combine)
  16. Willis McGahee (4.28 @ Miami)
  17. DeSean Jackson (4.29 @ NFL Combine)
  18. Yamon Figurs (4.30 @ 2007 NFL Combine)
  19. Darren McFadden (4.33 @ NFL Combine)
  20. Reggie Bush (4.33 @ University of Southern California at Pro Day 2006)

I was fast, faster than most.  I was accurately (not a stopwatch, an actual computer timing system) timed at 4.57 in a 40.  Granted, i was a sometimes 100, and always 200 and 400 sprinter, and not focusing on a short, pointless distance, but i could still move pretty quick.  I am highly doubtful that either of these guys could run a professionally timed 40 faster than 4.4.  Heath maybe... but i don't know many basketball players who are quick past 10 yds/10 meters.  playing basketball, you don't even cover 40 yds if you run baseline to baseline! you have to train for speed, quickness for a few steps is innate (usually).  Heath and dex were probably quick, but i doubt there were burners.

I don't believe either of them - to run that fast from a dead start is incredibly good and approaching world class territory.

What was Levrone's time for the 40 yard dash? He raced against Dwayne Chambers one time and got completely hammered.

 ;D

When nasa sent their scientists to my door with 2 million dollars in a briefcase in an effort to have me pilot a trip to the moon to rescue stranded astronauts, I ran a 4.0 flat no warm up, timed by their supercomputers.   I really wasnt training for speed though at that time.

3 10ths (if we're assuming 4.30 is world class) is a long weekend away from world class buddy, i would be getting dusted by anyone who runs D1 100 or 200.  I said i was faster than most (like most people on this board), not faster than everyone.  essentially, a 4.6 is not very fast.  Its relatively fast, but not out of this world. and the guys who do run 4.3 and lower are out of this world, i assure you.  they react quicker, they accelerate faster, and they deaccelerate later and less quickly.

What pile of shit. Bbers love to use the WWE level of bullshit. You know, if you're 6'6" say you're 7'. If you weigh 215, say you're 265lbs.  ::)

Anything to make themselves sound surreal....

I ran a 4.01, but found the world of online posting much more fascinating and mentally stimulating than a boring existence of sprinting, winning medals, and spending prize money.

I knew that on the track, I'd just be a rich man's Jeremy Wariner.  Fast and wealthy, but just a piece of fast meat.

On getbig, I am able to share my thoughts and learn from others, and make the world a better place.  It was an easy decision.

with speed like that with slightly less than average athletic ability the speed would carry you through at least some sports so you could make a lot of money and be successful

just to mention randy moss was a 4 time state champion in track and field in high school and arguably is on the fast lane to the hall of fame as a wide receiver.

....dexter jackson is faster than him....
