I am reading another forum

A girl came on

said her uncle raped her.

Said he family knows but she wont report it cos it would cause her "too much grief" and he would only get a few years jailtime. And she said she has taken measures so he wont do it again and has not since

What are you guys opinion?

Any advices?

If she isn't going to use the law then I'd report the thread to the police. Either way, something illegal is going on whether it's abuse when she was younger or slander online  ???

I'm always sceptical about things like that. Sure, plenty of people are abused, but very few have the attitude towards it that she has. My gut says she is lying for attention. I met someone like that before. I believed them when they said a family member had abused them. It turned out to be a mistake.
