Nine days into his legislative career.... CHANGE?
« on: February 03, 2009, 11:24:54 AM »
Nine legislative days into his term, and he's about to pass a trillion dollar bill.

He's already reversed half of the Bush Constitutional changes.

We're talking about 9 days in office.  He's very effective in achieving his goals so far.

And you don't think shooting a trillion bucks into US domestic economy is change?  It's a TON of change.  You may not agree with 400 mil for birth control or whatever, but it does create jobs.  That 400 mil is a lot of material purcahses and employees at $32k a year.

Whether or not you agree with all his spending choices - you have to agree he has been very effective at making changes to meet his vision.  The effects, I don't know.  But for everyone who said he'd be cowering in the corner on day 2 as iran bullied us... he's fixed constitution, created a lot of new jobs, we haven't been attacked, the DOW is steady, etc.  And, we're still blowing up shit in pakistan and rendition is still on.  He's change and consistency so far.

Zero jobs?

okay.  one trillion bucks on social programs, and not one employee will be hired.  5% of it will be national infrastructure rebuilding.  Will robots build the bridges?  ;)

LOL money for the arts, birth control, etc...more liberal spending that has nothing to do with stimulating the economy NOW.

When you give $ to 'the arts', it funnels to people who need jobs.  it might be lame jobs, art teacher, etc... but it still is $ that's being spent by broke asses at WMT

240, no one is arguing that jobs won't get created.  We are arguing that it isn't going to create a lot of jobs.  This bill is stupid and wastes money.  There are 100 things that would stimulate the economy more than spending 300 million dollars on condoms.  You are very good at avoiding direct questions where you're wrong.

Hey moron, those jobs arent going to hit untill 2010,how does that create jobs NOW?Yes,ZERO jobs unless you consider government jobs[which is redistributing wealth]creating jobs.

I know a few million out-of-work Floridians who wouldn't mind a govt job right now.

it was supposed to be 80% infrastructure, not condoms and welfare and tax credits to illegal aliens.

You are very talented at avoiding the question.  Do you not think there would be better ways that this money could be spent?

my argument all along is this...

the bill contains a lot of liberal BS.  Lots of welfare ppl will get hooked up.

however, it is better for americans than the Bush war spending bill was.

Cause at least now, you will have ten million welfare mommies spending $ on Ramen noodles and jewelry at walmart, which keeps the $ in our economy.  Bush's plan was to deliver trillions to war companies with zero return.  At least putting a few million american asses in govt chairs for work beats them at home.

our unemployment rate is insane.
