Australian Bodybuilder banned

CANBERRA, Australia: The Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority said Thursday that Australian bodybuilder Martin Kapitan has been suspended for two years for testosterone usage and possession.

ASADA said a search warrant was served on Kapitan's home by Victoria state police on Nov. 26, 2007. It said police found six syringes containing testosterone in Kapitan's refrigerator as well as a container of used syringes in his bedroom.

The ban, imposed by the International Natural Bodybuilding Association, means Kapitan will not be eligible to compete until Jan. 19, 2011.

I'm kinda happy this happend tbh, I am thinking of maybe competing in this federation some time next year so I think this is a good thing. Too bad for the guy but he should have been in a non tested federation instead. Don't agree with sending the cops over tho, thats uncalled for imho :P.

I know of this guy and he was an ordinary competitor (at best) despite being on the gear he was never in contention in any show he entered.

You hear anything more bout this AVBG, sounds pretty harsh sending cops over :o, like ban him hell yeah but getting the Law involved may be a bit steep :P.

Does any Aussie remember the time Michael Klim's coach (Olympic Swimmer) had his house robbed, then the cops found the safe and found stanazol and another steroid in it? That was swept under the rug extremely quickly.

Didn't know that.....The whole ordeal with Thorpey was kept pretty quiet too. He claimed "naturally high test levels"...

No no he cleared his name remember.

I mean he pissed in a cup and it came back positive. Personally it's pretty straight forward to me, i can't see where the problem was. He has been tested before wouldn't the high test levels have come through there? Or was the testing procedure wrong. Maybe it was someone's else's urine, it's a shame we never found out who else it could have been because they would have been banned from swimming. Shit lucky break for them hey  ;)

Yeah, i'm still not sure which team he bats for.
