TOMMY, Thanks for that Ed McMahon tale.

My only contact with Mr. McMahon was the one time we took a young wrestling fan, who was in a wheel chair since birth, to one of the events and Vince McMahon came out personally and asked us if he could take the kid  backstage to meet the wrestlers.

So we all went backstage and met all the pros and that turned out to the highlight of the young kid's life.

He talked about it constantly up until the day he passed away at the age of  12.

God bless Vince for making one very sick kid a very happy kid for the remainder of his short life-span.

This story is totally believable. When Vince first started out his father was horrified that VInce wanted to be a wrestler and not take over as a promoter. Vince has been juiced for many years. He's a major fan of bodybuilding and tried to market the WBF, and knock papa Joe on his ass. He's a bodybuilding nut. He even wrestled in his 50's, oiled up. The story sounds par for the course. It's not like it involves any sexual acts.

As for Achim, he was a horrible wrestler. They tried to market him as a Hitler soldier type guy named Brakus, but Achim had not ability to wrestle.

I believe this guy since he has brought many out of the woodwork. I could start quite a few threads on similar experiences as well but they make up a fraction of my life.

start em anyway....

Although it's not talked about much, there probably is a decent gay community that supports wrestling.

I'm not saying treat them like shit, but they are second class to the male wrestlers.  Almost all of the women can't wrestle for shit and are just there as eye candy.

some guys cant handle being "juiced to the gills"  he reminds me a little of Youngblood.  Red-faced, bloated, looks like he could drop dead at any moment!

It is not so strange.  McMahon is bi gay.  Most people in the loop have known this for years.  I first learned about him when I dated a guy in CT who was friends with the Razor Ramon character.  This was back around 96/97.  McMahon has hit on many wrestlers.  He is the Weider of wrestling and if you want to make in his world he has to like you and you have to indulge him in one form or another.  Sometimes that means complimenting him... Sometimes that means working out with him... Sometimes that means wrestling for him... Sometimes that means wrestling with him... Sometimes that means...  :-X

Why did he marry and get kids though?

Just to keep the McMahon bloodline going?

What is this the Da Vinci code?   The dude is into bodybuilding/wrestling.  I think the only reason he didn't take the bodybuilding route, was that he was handed the WWF by his father.  Unless you have pics/vids as proof (outed) then its just rumor.

He used to do that a lot apparently.

Difinitive history of the WBF.
http://pwchronicle.blogspot.com/2005/12/history-definitive-history-of-wbf.html

"McMahon was enamored with the bodybuilding lifestyle and through his World Wrestling Federation pushed awe-inspiring physiques above all else. Vince McMahon’s physique had been changing drastically in recent years as he experimented with steroids and moved closer to the body type of the professional wrestlers whom he employed. In the 1980's, when McMahon and his aids would gather to screen the NWA's pay-per-views, McMahon would often disappear to another room during unimportant matches with a set of dumbbells before returning several moments later sweaty and no longer wearing a shirt according to Muchnick." - Quote.

Middle America wouldn't follow wrestling if they thought Vince was a tinker bell.  Esp. 20-30 years ago.

In the mid 90's there was a great german IFBB bodybuilder that tried his hand wrestling in the WWF for a brief stint. His name was Achim Albrecht.

He was the IFBB heavyweight Mr. Universe from the early 90's. The guy was a giant. Awesome bodybuilder and a great guy.

Just before he signed with the WWF for his short stint, I was eating at a local Santa Monica muscle food joint called The Kensington Cafe with Achim, Jerry Brainum and another IFBB german bodybuilder named Frank Hillebrand.

Achim goes on to tell us that when he was in connecticut at the WWF headquarters that Vince McMahon had a bunch of new wrestlers including Achim go into a theatre screening room to watch some sort of a WWF highlight reel. And in the highlight reel was footage of WWF wrestlers pumping iron bare chested.

Achim goes on to say that Vince was in the room when the highlight reel started and then about halfway through vince left the room. after the footage was over the lights went on and the guys just sat in their seats waiting for somebody to come in.

Achim then said that in a matter of moments Vince McMahon enters the room totally topless, pumped to the gills, sweating and covered in posing oil. He then said vince just stood there in front of them and asked them what they thought of the WWF reel. Vince then went on to ask them if they liked what they saw and if that is something they really wanted to do with their lives.(As if they didnt already know that).....

Achim then goes on to say that Vince proceeded to tell them that they have bodies just like the guys on the screen. And that Vince kept feeling his upper pecs(not Achims, his own), the entire time he was speaking.

When Achim left that day , he said that some of the other guys in the room had heard stories about vince being into muscle worship and that he liked to have other wrestlers compliment him on his own physique. And he loved to have wrestlers tell him that he looks like he could get in the ring with them too.

Strange shit, man. Strange shit.......Maybe Achim was lying. Maybe it is just gossip. Just my opinion.
... I believe it.  I lived in Venice and trained at Golds from '89-'05.  I heard and saw a lot of very "questionable" activities.  As far as Mcmahon is concerned, he has always "kept" certain wrestlers that he finds "appealing" to himself.  Stone Cold Steve Austin has been one of his "boys."  I know I really don't have a post count but I've been lurking here since 2003.  Finally decided to join.  Trust me, the things these bodybuilders do will blow your mind.  And yes, many are in "one gay situation after another.  It's just bodybuilding lifestyles.
