WWE Salary Brackets

Here are the Salary Brackets for the WWE Superstars
(note this does not include sponsorships or movie role earnings etc.)

NOTE: This information was taken around the year 2000. Salaries have probably been raised since then, so wrestlers most likely earn more than what you see here.

$50,000-$99,000 per year

Most performers who are employed just for television, such as Terri Runnels and Tori, are in this wage bracket.

$100,000-$249,000 per year

In this wage bracket are such wrestlers as Jacqueline, Too Cool, Viscera & Midian. Each of these earns in the neighborhood of $200,000 a year.

$250,000-$499,999 per year

This is what most mid-card wrestlers in the WWE earn. In this bracket are Mark Henry ($300,000 per year until 2006), Taka Michinoku ($250,000), Val Venis, & Chris Jericho.

$500,000-$999,999 per year

This is what some of the bigger stars in the WWE earn. In this bracket are Mankind, The Undertaker & HHH. Also in this bracket is The Rock ($600,000 a year 'downside' until 2005) but his actual earnings exceeded $2 million in 1999.

$1 Million+ per year

These are the big money earners in wrestling. In this bracket are Big Show ($1 million per year until 2009), Ken Shamrock ($1.1 million per year until 2001) & Steve Austin earned over $6 million in 1999.

Sting? I just don't get who tunes in to watch this guy let alone pays him? Once he turned to the Dark Sting I never paid attention to him again. I don't get it???

He's on the highest wage, yet doesn't he refuse to do house shows and TV tapings?  I'm sure I heard when he was champion he'd only do the Pay-Per-Views?

Imagine what the basketball/football/golfers etc. are thinking :o I remember when I was a kid it was a huge deal that Isiah Thomas was making 750 a year. Didn't mean to go OT, just made me think of that.

There are some people there not really making as much as I thought they would?  Matt Striker, Trevor Murdoch, not much when you consider what they go through.  Good to see that there's no favouritism for Triple H   ::), use of the company jet 10 times a year!

So, the guys who don't get plane ticket have to pay for transportation and hotel? That could eat up a lot of the pay.

Chuck Palumbo did an interview lastmonth in Power Slam magazine and he said there aint a great ammount of guys making great money. He said that he was making about $100,000 a year which by the time you deduct taxes is about $70k, then your on the road and have to cover your own travel and expenses/food/gym so there is another $1000 per week  which another $52k per year which leaves you with around $18k which you have to look after your house and family.

To be honest its pretty fucking grim if your not in the upper/mid card by the look of things.

I have heard things like that before.   I'm not sure why the WWE does not pay travel and hotel, I thought they did
