True, although I'd rather it was too cold than hot - you can turn on the heater, wear some warm clothes, cuddle up with your girl etc in the cold but when it's hot, you're just sweating and stinking, developing rashes and all sorts of nasty shit.

Haha Auckland isn't that much different mate - it rains throughout the year, although it is quite warm in Summer. And No, I don't like clear, sunny skies or spending time outside. I like my days dark, cold and overcast. I try and sleep during the day so I can stay up at night - never liked the sun that much.

lol, good thing you aren't over here in Aus.....i like the warm but summer can get too hot, spring is better.

I know, lol! I used to live in Brisbane for nearly 6 years. Love the city and the country to death, but I can't stand the heat. NZ is far more perfect for me weather wise and otherwise.

I just heard that on the news. In the morning they said houses were under threat, but just like 30 mins ago i heard that 14 people had been killed.

Police said possibly up to 40 may be dead. Terrible. :(

No doubt about it...

Half the state is on fire?  What is the other half flooding?  I thought there were major floods over there.

The North (Queensland) is flooding, the south (Victoria) is on fire. Crazy weather...

I 'm from Northern Ireland and I can't remember it being over 23 C in the last couple of years  >:(  The summer of 2006 was great though, some days it was around 30 C.
