He will rebuild his physique for the 2009 Olympia, and restore mother Russia to former glory producer of bodybuilding champions worldwide.
All muscle memory.
HaHa! Just like Ivan Drago before Rocky had to show him USA was the Champion of Truth, And justice for all! Wait, that was Superman....

I agree with this statement... "After being accused and disqualified at the European Championships in 1999 for doping, he completely gave up on body building. After three years of life without touching a weight, he lost 70 pound of muscle.
Around the end of 2002, he step in the gym once again. With encouragement and financial support from a local politician, he pick up the weight once again. During the first workout in three years, he tried to bench more than he ‘d ever did. He ‘d made a big mistake that is common for people who took a long break from gym. You are suppose to workout with 60 - 70 % of the weight that you worked with. Then slowly work up to 100 % because your muscle is not as strong as before. After taking the 2nd place 2004 Grand Prix Russia, he tried the 2005 Mr. Olympia and 2006 New York Pro Championships but didn’t get placed." -viruz.com Sounds like he was competitively motivated...

"As of 2008, Fedorov was inactive in bodybuilding with no intentions of returning to the competitive circuit. His current weight is said to be around 190-200lbs."
I saw him at the Apollon Gym in November of last year. I was 6'1" and 200lbs and skinny as can be at that height. There is no way Fedorov was under 200. His triceps looked frigging huge! Nothing like the stick man in the photo. And he had definitely regained a lot of mass across the shoulders. Believe he's part owner of that gym in Edison, NJ. Dorian is reported to be training there recently. Give them a call: (732) 985-8576 or check their website: http://www.apollongym.com/

Do we have any front comparisons between Coleman and Federov?
It looks like Federov's hamstrings are bigger in that picture...

Alex was a freak and he had a couple of signature poses he looked amazing in. But he never had the structure to compete at the top level successfully. Scary how small he's become.

I dont agree. He didnt have structual problem. Just his pec was broken. If he could maintain his prime shape and his pec was OK, he could be Mr. O right now blowing Dexter and rest.

Along with the torn pec, he had a very wide waist and he looked like crap (albeit huge and muscular) in a lot of the mandatory poses - front and back double biceps, front and rear lat spread and the abs & thighs. He only looked good from the side. When I said structural problems, I meant like the stuff Paco has - sure, he's got a lot of muscle and will be able to compete in pro contests, but not even a snowball's chance in Hell of winning or placing in the top 3, unless it's a very weak field. There's no way he could have been Mr Olympia. Art Atwood was just as big and looked better in more poses, but he could never crack the top save for his pro debut contest, cause he was competing against guys who had tiny waists in comparison. Federov is just another guy that belonged to the group comprising guys like Achim Albretch, Art Atwood, Greg Kovacs and others - lots of muscles, freaky and looking good in a couple of poses, but too many flaws to crack the top 3 in the Olympia and Arnold Classic.
