Doggcrapp transformation
« on: February 08, 2009, 03:33:34 PM »
I'm intrigued. Justin Harris used a "WidowMaker" excersise to transform his back.
He said that years of Heavy lifting left him with a thick back, but little width.

The extra width is the result of a modified seated cable row done in "widowmaker" fashion

can you explain what "widowmaker"-style cable row looks like?

What was the time frame in between these two pictures?  I doubt one or two exercises is going to make that much of a difference.

I believe it's the one where you are almost in the bottom part of an SLDL position on a seated cable row and instead of sitting up and pulling back you stay in that position and essentially flare your lats contracting the weight.  David Henry does it as well in some of his videos.

Vince Gironda squats......frog squats.............there are tons of names for that type of movement.  People are good at rehashing shit that has been around forever.

Lol, fucking retards.  That should be called the knee-ender.  Some poeple are such tools.  Does that really make your quads better than a normal hack with perfect form?  Please.

if i remember correctly, justin harris actually has a major, or a minor, in biomechanics. or something of that nature.   :)

anyway....   lets get real. after years of training , nobodies goign to make improvements like that in the back just by doing a new exercise.  maybe the widowmaker row helped, but, comeon... theres another much more important factor at work here.

That's just a sissy squat done on the hack squat machine. You can do the same movement on the Smith machine or standing on the ground, while holding a plate in one hand across the chest and using the other to hold on to a machine or equipment to keep your balance. As long as you only do a couple of sets and not have the exercise as your bread and butter movement for quads, your knees will be fine. Sissy squats are actually a great way to finish a leg workout.

I agree sissy squats are great. Little knee pressure at all. Look at the video he is on his toes changes the mechanics of the movement.

I know a lot of very smart people who do very stupid things.  The exercise shown above is lunacy at its finest.
