Did You Ever Think Wrestling Was Real?
« on: February 09, 2009, 04:33:56 PM »
I thought wrestling was real up till I was about 10 or 11. The first thing that got my wheels turning was back stage at a WWF House Show I saw Tito Santana, and The War Lord sitting in a hall way talking to each other. I just knew they hated each other they were wrestling later that night. I was only about 5 and I was very confussed, but did not say anything to my parents until that car ride home.  I finally said  "Why were Tito Santana and War Lord talking to each other ? I thought they hated each other. "   My moms respons was  " Well sometimes you have to wrestle your friend, that don't mean you dislike them. You know like your dad and Uncle Dickie. "   And just like a Mark I bought it.  A few years later I finally got it out of my old man and was not really surprised I don't think.    Now I don't think anyone can possably think it's real.

Probably up until about 10 I think.  I remember my dad always saying it was fake and why was I watching it, but I always used to stick up for it!

I think every kid thinks it's real when they first start watching. I remember my dad used to ask why the guys don't fall down when they get punched and i used to say "because they're tough." ;D I love going to shows now and listening to the marks. Brings back memories.

Not really, until I saw one live & sat in the first row & overhead them calling spots out. But my h.s. friend dad believes it's real & you cannot convience him otherwise.

I used to think no one past elementary school thought it was real. That is until I saw the comments left by fans on Matt Hardy's myspace page.
