Harvard Economist: "Stimulus is probably the worst bill...
« on: February 09, 2009, 05:08:38 PM »
"Stimulus is probably the worst bill that has been put forward since the 1930s"

Dr. Robert Barro is one of the most influential economists in the world.

"This is probably the worst bill that has been put forward since the 1930s. I don't know what to say. I mean it's wasting a tremendous amount of money. It has some simplistic theory that I don't think will work, so I don't think the expenditure stuff is going to have the intended effect. I don't think it will expand the economy. And the tax cutting isn't really geared toward incentives. It's not really geared to lowering tax rates; it's more along the lines of throwing money at people. On both sides I think it's garbage. So in terms of balance between the two it doesn't really matter that much."

Only when the your President has a Harvard degree, does it matter what anybody from Harvard thinks.

I have said from day one, cut the payroll tax asap and people will have immediate money in their pocket.

The tax cuts dont take effect for awhile and are a pittance.  People need consistent more cash, not a one time $500.00.

Obama is simply a puppet for the large banks.

These economists are not making it on mainstream news (except fox).  Seems like most of the media is afraid to really criticize this bill.  Scary.  Obama says nearly all economists agree about the stimulus...perhaps the ones he chooses to listen too because they agree with his philosophy.

Go listen to Celente's 02/07/09 interview on youtube about this bill.
