10% county unemployment, not counting part-timers and self-employed, which was a lot of our construction workers.

lee county led the nation in forecloseures last year.

This whole city is shut down - everyone watching him on TV - everyone packing roads to see him drive past.

They've been interviewing ppl all morning about who can't find a job. Obama's speaking to a city of really desperate people.

Steele on FNC asked DNC Chair Kaine why Obama needed Republicans to vote for the pork-laden bill. Steele made the point that the Democrats have the votes they need to pass it without anymore Republicans - so why is Obama making a plea for Republicans to vote for it. Because Democrats want to share the blame when it tanks the economy even more. They want it to look like a bi-partisan failure.

A older woman named Henrietta just stood up and asked a question. She said she doesn't need parks and recreation. She needs help with her home. "Help us". Something along those lines.

An emotional moment. Obama walked down and hugged her, and said his staff would contact her. I think she's going to be an ongoing national story.

it sucks here. I'm tired of seeing it. I don't care if Obama takes $X from millionaires who are used to tax cuts, and uses it to create 100X jobs. These folks can't work, and the city I live in is turning to shit as a result.

All my family and friends live here. Weather is nice too.

I'd prefer we try to FIX things, rather than just abandon them.

Besides, if you keep abandoning these places, it ends up becoming cities of vagrants - leads to crime, infestation, disease, etc, and eventually it'll spill over into your suburb.
