No, LA and SF voted for them... the rest of us just always have to go along.

I think the meltdown will start in CA when the welfare checks stop, the cops get cut, and the gangs start spreading.

The police have contracts, they won't get cut.  They need to start with welfare and ALL the money for illegals.  It's funny because people should want tax cuts but they'd rather vote in the party that has never gotten them out of poverty.

A contract doesnt mean squat if the state is broke and cant afford to pay.

The last people Cali is going to give the IOUs to will be the union-contracted public service types. Government workers protect their own.

They can't even control the gangs now... and as 333386 said, as soon as welfare is interrupted the blacks down south and illegals are going to go ape-shit a la 1992 style. Too bad most of out National Guard is in Iraq right now.

Cali has the 7th largest economy in the world. There are just so many leeches and gvt pork projects, it's like a state version of GM.

The problems in California have nothing to do with the Republican party. Cali is the antithesis of the Republican platform.

The housing bubble originated there, i believe.   This was a way for bush to take the heat off of himself as being very disliked about the war.     Throw the people a bone and let anyone buy a house to spread false wealth......he was hoping it wouldnt burst until he was out of office.  But it did and here we are.  Capitialism gone bad.

Idiot, they are already taxed to death over there and people fleeing due to high taxes.

They need to massively cut wasteful spending and end all payments to illegals.

Civil service employees don't take hits like other people do.

He warned that there were too many loans being given out while people like Barney Frank and other Democrats were saying that everyone should be in a house.

As it is said, where California goes, the rest of the US follows.   :'(

California is a craphole.  I'll keep on living in the Southeast.  While factories are being constructed here(as best they can be considering the circumstances), Silicon Valley is figuring how to cram more songs inside of IPODS.  Millions of illegals, brutal taxes, gangs, pollution, liberal weirdness, loss of jobs only helps to ensure more and more people flee this state.  The best thing for this sorry state to do is to once again become the Republic of California or just fall in the ocean.

Let me know in advance when that happens so I can get the hell out of here.
