Put yourself in his shoes.
You used AAS several years ago and lied about it to the Feds when they questioned you under oath about it.
Had you told the truth, probably nothing happens (Giambi), but since you lied, they build a case against you and now you are forced to plea bargain just to save your ass, spending a year in jail in the process.
Was it worth it for the numbers and the money?
Not only to have your accomplishments tainted but to be blacklisted from baseball all because you simply couldn't tell the truth to the Feds?
They don't ask you "
if" you used AAS unless they have strong evidence that you did.
Some of these athletes are so stupid.
I'm focusing on Tejada because there was no evidence that he used and I don't think he needed them given his natural ability, but now we don't know how many of those HR's were aided by AAS, and for a SS it's rare to jack HR's like he and A-Rod do.
I was literally in disbelief this morning when I saw the report on ESPN, because this shit is getting out of hand and it's going to continue to trickle down to the end user.....
I feel bad for Tejada, but I also think he now bears the responsibility of having to hold his head in shame......not for using AAS, but for lying and losing his cred in the process.
Sad.
