I think he was acting, but that was just hilarious. Best part had to be gum and the eerie silence after every one word reply. Funniest Letterman interview I've seen in a while.

although the handshake did seem hostile to begin with.  perhaps letterman's staff told him the guy was spaced out, and he decided to have some fun.  DL seems to have a really big interview or 3 like this each year.  He saw a chance and took it.

Here's my take on it...If its not a put on. I believe what he is going to try to do is something along the lines of what the Beastie Boys did...If his documentary is somewhat interesting I could see him traveling around playing at colleges and building it up from there...With Rap considered Dead by most he could be making a calculated guess that this kind of shit may just fly in white America...Esp/in colleges...Either that or he is BatShit crazy and doing everything on a whim and it is going to be sad to see him crash and burn...
