 the ifbb knows that the mass freaks put the asses in the seats with the fans.. the ones who actually buy the tickets want to be "wowed".. and haidar and some of the others do not provide that effect.. all things being equal the biggest man will win.. and he should.. as long as he provides a well conditioned physique.. if two men have similar physiques and similar structure but one is bigger, he should win.. mass is still a part of bodybuilding..
     
as for the gay comments about the "pretty physiques" i have to agree.. i took a couple of friends who trained to the arnold years back... they were not avid fans but, were interested in it.. they even commented that the "pretty guys" on stage was a strange premise to them.. "why would men want to see other men with pleasing" phyiques" was their question.. they could understand wanting to be wowed by the mass freaks because of its shock factor.. but, the idea of guys wanting to see pretty mens physiques was quite puzzling to them..

wayne demelia of pdi fame actually understood this and wanted to award pleasing bodies like haidar and the like because he felt it would draw the gay faction of the crowd back to the shows again which had diminished in recent years.. that is why he wanted to hold his shows inthe chelsea piers area of new york and the like to draw that crowd.. and that was confirmed in conversations he had with many he was trying to recruit...
