In recent weeks you have watched your huge bodybuilding (best) friend lose a lot of his size. Turns out he needs a kidney transplant. You are fairly certain that his bodybuilding lifestyle led to his misfortune… now, he is stuck on a waitlist hoping for a timely donor. Both he and you know that you are a compatible donor.

• do you offer your kidney?

• he specifically asks you to donate your kidney and says he will never juice again. Do you donate?

What would you do?

What would you do?

He should not expect you to donate you his kidney. It wasn't your job to wipe his ass although im sure he will be "greatful" for the favor.

That would be a tough one. Very similar to an alcoholic needing a kidney. I wouldn't want to give it to them if they were going to just destroy what you gave them.

Now, if it was a familly member that needed it and not because he abused the shit out of any kind of drugs, of course I would give him a kidney

He knew the dangers with Steroids, Now he will take the consequences.

I don't know the person you are talking about but if any of my best friends promised not to use whatever may have made them ill again (I don't have any best friends that use steroids so it would be something else) yes, I would donate. If you have grave doubts about your friend's sincerity in not using again, I'm not sure I would donate.

You should politely decline, letting him know that kidneys are definetely hard to come by, and that you enjoy having two. But since you are one of his best frineds the least you can do for him is take care of his wife after he is dead.

For a brother? Maybe. For a friend? No. In fact, even when it comes to a brother I would only do it if he were some stupid young kid who took sauce because he wasn't aware of what it could do to him, etc.

I don't know. He may be genuinelly regretful and never juice again, or he may be so addicted psychologically to steroids that he will juice again regardless, a la Wheeler, Long and Prince. Who knows? But this is jnot the real issue. The real issue is this: does an adult in full possesion of his mental faculties, being fully aware of the potential risks of steroids and yet decided to take them anyway even deserve a new kidney? Food for thought. Personally, no friend is worth undergoing a painful, dangerous, potentially fatal and life-long debilitating surgery for. This is the kind of shit you only even consider for a brother/son/spouse/sweetheart.

No... i don't think people understand this concept but once you are a juice you are ALWAYS a juicer. It isn't physically addicting but... there is something about it that will always draw a person back i have noticed. I can assure you Arnold is still doing it although legally. I have never known anyone to come off cold turkey to never touch it again in their life. See Don Long.
