Oil won't fall for much longer as OPEC will start to draw down production.  Prices are just trying to play catch up.  Gas prices WILL not come down.  They will go up.  CA will see 2.85 a gallon again soon.

US oil surpluses are way up..opec has made 2 production cuts already without any appreciable lift to oil prices. Gas has dropped to 1.29 here before heading to 1.89 as a high and then back to 1.77 today. Missouri usually has the lowest gas prices. I'm sure it won't last but demand is waaaay down.

The evil side of supply and demand is, they can manipulate supply to make you pay as high of a price as they want.

Yes, but the point here is that oil is actually pretty cheap until it gets to your retail station...

still, I can't help but notice the corresponding times prices at the pump jump when oil jumps and not so much of an corresponding instant drop when oil falls.  just a little fucked up imo.

Its not because these people are buying em..they just shelved em. I stuck mine in the garage. I'd like to see a chart on what gas costs at 34 bucks a barrel on average. I bet its not 1.77 or whatever u guys are paying.

Fuck you Saudis

The Saudis play no part in the cost of american gasoline or oil. America gets its oil from Nigeria, Canada, Mexico and Venezuela...It is Europe that gets it oil and gas from the Middle East...so does Asian nations: China, Japan, India...that is if they are not getting it from Russia who is now a BIG player in the gas markets.

It's time to buy a couple of big containers as an investment.

A 1000 (or more) gallon * 2 dollar profit!!! lol  :P

Ya, except gas goes bad in about a year.

Funny, isn't it? Gas used to last for a decade back in the past, now it dies pretty quick.....

Maybe it's just here, but after about a year it starts to get pretty crappy. Ever had trouble with gas in a lawnmower?

If it doesn't blow up on you first.

There was a guy in Whitby ON, who was so freaked out by the so called "Millenium Bug", and the chaos that would break lose as soon as the clocks rolled over, that he bought as much fuel as possible and stored it in his house... basement... garage... anyplace he could find room. Unfortunately, a spark must have ignited all the gas fumes, ...and his house blew up. Then too the insurance companies refused to pay his claim. Apparently storing fuel in his house voided the policy. Poor guy  :'(

Is it due to the Ethanol composition along with all the various detergent being put in?
