Author Topic: Any job opportunity for me in the US? Any infos can be useful. (Read 13055 times)

Hi Everyone!

I'm Steve Namat IFBB Pro from Budapest, Hungary. Yep, greetings for my getbig fans and haters!

I would like to continue my career and my life in the United States as soon as I can. Hopefully this year. I'm not dreaming about huge sponsorship contracts but to settle down in the US I'll need at least a secure job opportunity before I plan to go there to live.

So if anybody knows job opportunitis for me in the States (any area) please let me know. I interested in any type of jobs, I won't go to America to have a holiday I want to work as hard as I can to settle down succesfully, get a financial security and continue my pro career properly, get much bigger publicity...all those things which I can't do it in Hungary even if I work in 3 jobs (as many getbiggers knows it already).

But anyway now I'm one of the youngest IFBB Pros in the world (Flex Lewis is the other), in Hungary I'm working in a supplement store, do personal trainings, manage the only hungarian bodybuilding TV show and do some guest posings.

So if I want to continue my career I must settle down in the US and get a job first. And
of course I should continue to compete. I already renew my pro card and my next shows
will be the Dexter Jackson Classic (Jacksonville, Florida) and the PBW Championships (Tampa, Florida) in August. I hope that finally I'll make my way to the 202 Showdown to Vegas (I placed 6th at 2008 Tampa Pro and just missed the qualification by one placing).

So please if anybody have some positive informations about this issue please let me know

Honestly Steve, you overlooked the two most important factors,

1) What can you do, what is your background education/training

2) How well do you speak English ?

3) You might want to look into an affordable living area, as I don't think you could afford Cali right off the bat.

We had a good Hungarian bodybuilder training in our gym,and they can survive on little income,as one guy in gym said about them 'they'd live in your ear',but he was a bit retarded and got sack from his bouncing job cos he was useless and is now back in Hungary

OK that's maybe true. This is why I start this topic...because I don't know any secure opportunitis and maybe someone will help me and give me a chance to work or knows somebody who can help me if I'll contact with him/her.

And then I'll fly there to manage the whole thing...

Not sure why you think a Juice head would be good to work at a HealthFood store - 90% of the customers there are the general public/ lay person who is repulsed by Juicers. People go there for general health products- multi-V, Fish oil, fiber products.

1) I can do anything but I think that as an IFBB Pro maybe I can get a job which is connected with bodybuilding... Or am I wrong?

2) I speak better than most of the american taxi drivers.

3) Any area can be good for me! Please realize that when I want to compete in the States from Hungary then I must spend at least $4000 for just the plane tickets and the hotels. And my wage (not one job) is around $1500 in a good month in Hungary... Can you do the math?
