Ironically, I am actually a Democrat. I'm glad I was recalled for this war instead of Iraq. I would rather go here.

It's what I had in mind when I signed up, although that seems like a long time ago now.

Al Qaida and whatnot are still very active and the situation is not getting better when you go on killing sprees at their home turf. Afghans were covertly assisted by the US. Who do you think provided all the stinger missiles to the mujahideen? Before the US started getting involved the Afghans were getting slaughtered since all they had were WW2  era Enfield rifles against soviet armor.  If the US hadn't gotten involved Afghani's would have  been another Soviet satellite country.

Solid point of view. On that note, you just know there are lots of countries just dying to see the US get it's dick knocked in the dirt. Those countries (Iran, Syria, Iraq, any number of those former Soviet territories) will gladly help the Afghani fighters.

We get get bashed for every little thing but everyone uses our technology, our knowledge and even follow the trends we set.

u are extreamly missled usa only got involved when they made sure that afghans and pakistanies are at the verge of winning that war and they just need last push.
