Al Qaida and whatnot are still very active and the situation is not getting better when you go on killing sprees at their home turf. we stood the fuck out of Afghanistan before 9/11 and we still had a terrorist attack so much for that policy

We went to Afghanistan after 9/11 and we effectively wiped out most of the Taliban in a fucking month , something the Soviets couldn't do in 10 years . and everything was doing as well as it could there until we decided to go into Iraq which was a huge mistake it took most of the manpower leaving Afghanistan free for the Taliban to regroup , retrain and get new recruits and now we're right back to square one

going to Afghanistan was just going to Iraq wasn't don't confuse the two

My reserve time for being recalled ran out a few years ago. I wish you all the luck in Afie and ignore the jackasses up here. They don't have the balls to put on a uniform, take the oath, and fight for their country.

Not so much about military action but rather political is what I mean with staying the fuck out. USA's constant involvement in middle eastern business is what breeds these terrorists. You had 9/11 coming in one way or the other. Invading and occupying two of those countries isn't exactly gonna help, it is at the most a desperate attempt to get rid of the symptoms.
