Its a shame that GHB is looked upon as Evil because it for sure can do wonders for Alcoholics...

You have got to be kidding me. Of course it will "do wonders" for alcoholics. You are substituting one drug for another, one addiction for another. I think Mussolini has talked about using GHB too. It's no cure for alcoholism though, that's for sure.

Although some addicts do go to steroids and switch addictions to bodybuilding (or religion or whatever), hormones aren't a substitute for mind drugs like GHB and alcohol. An alcoholic who can stick with just steroids is doing good IMO. An alcoholic who switches to GHB not so much.

Beer increases bone strength
 :D

"Researchers at St Thomas's Hospital and King's College London have shown that silicon, found in abundance in beer, increases bone mineralisation in men and premenopausal women. Students who drink beer can continue their favourite pastime, safe in the knowledge that it could be doing them good;
beer increases bone strength."

hormones are a very potent "mind drug".

Sometimes I only want to rest for sixty seconds between sets, but I come in and check Getbig and end up resting anywhere up to 5 minutes.  My Getbig addiction destroys my training rhythm.

Glad you're out of rehab Mussolini.  Hope you keep on the path, bro.

Dangers of the home gym.

Been meaning to replace this chair with an exercise bike but I have paperwork to do... when I'm not on Getbig.

My lack of willpower is sickening.  >:(

I usually allow it if I'm going heavier and don't mind a longer rest.  Shoulders are coming good at last so I want to get back to some 5x5.  Many is the night tho when I should have done the paperwork first and surfed Getbig after.  :-[

I abuse alcohol on a daily basis. I cannot remember the last day I haven't had a drink. I'm hung over as a bastard right now. Four glasses of champagne, two glasses of white, one glass of red, two martini's, and a cognac at the end of dinner. Shoulders and tri's this morning. It doesn't effect my training at all. Got ten reps with the 75s on DB press's. Diet yes. I ate chicken wings, fries, and a cheese burger at Hotters afterwords. Grease is the best cure for a hangover for me.

I consider myself a heavy drinker, and it hasn't really affected my training.  A good cardio session seems to sweat it out of me.

I used to drink heavily and very frequently. Quit for 18 months. Tbh I don't think I had grown up enough to know how to deal with it. When I drink now I would drink a lot, but not to the point where I am shitfaced (unless it's a special occasion). I know that I am "binge drinking" but then it only takes 3-4 beers to reach the point of "binge drinking".

For me 8-12 beers in a 9 hour period isn't too bad, though if it's done daily and you become reliant I could see how it could become a problem.

I saw your thread on "going into rehab" Mussolini. If i understood correctly your now out of rehab and doing ok? Did you have any troubling moments yet?

I've been sober for almost 4 months now, rehab was great, I feel my work ethic has improved both on the job and in the gym.
