Fastest you have gone in a car

I passed my driving test 6 weeks ago.

By law i am required to travel no faster than 45mph (75kph)

How fast have you guys gone on open road

My speedo stopped at 145 and I had the needle buried well past that and still going until I had to slow for a sharpish bend probably 160mph maybe more

holy shit! some big numbers there.

I drive a 1.8l car...not big enine at all and sticking to speed limits is very frustrating...not that i am looking to speed just driving at 30mph seems painfully slow

160mph in a 1993 RX7 R1 single turbo front mount intercooler with cold air intake, 3" downpipe and free flow exhaust, heavily modified suspension.  I could have pushed it further but I-95 heading down to Miami isn't the best road to be going that fast on.

Suspension wouldnt of been the only thing heavily modifyed  ;D

My mate has had the pleasure of doing over 300k on the wangan with the guys from scoot motorsport in Japan..

Fastest Ive been in my car just a tad over 300kmph if I wanted to go faster would need to change diffs and gearbox and maybe upgrade to next stage turbo.

i was driving 85 in a 55 and met a cop and didnt get pulled over.

He must have known that I post on getbig  ;D, but yea that is a true story. I was already looking for a road to pull off on when the cop turned around but he/she never did turn around.

got my old piece of shit 95 elantra to 110mph and it started wiggling so i slowed it down.

now i only get my 350z to about 90.
