No question that we are in a tough time, but there will be a lot of vendors who will be there, including these, just what I can think of...

Muscletech
BSN (with 12 Calendar girls)
CytoSport (Muscle Milk)
Optimum / American Body Building
Gaspari
Nutrex
Pro Fight Supplements
ALRI
Universal Nutrition
Champion Nutrition
MRI
GNC
Ergopharm
ISS Research
Labrada
MHP
Nutabolics
Dymatize
SAN
EFX
Prolab
Twinlab
VPX
Vyotech
Met-Rx
IDS
EAS
Bodybuilding.com

and about 600 other booths too.  There are MMA booths, protein bar booths, clothing booths and so much more.

from what I have heard many vendors that bought a single space, I believe it is 10 x 10 were upgraded to 2 slots for the same price to fill up the expo floor.

That is interesting, but so far, most of the companies that I know will be there with a booth of some sort.  Some are smaller than last year, some are the same size.

I think many supplement companies use this show and the Olympia is a place to showcase new products, and meet accounts and distributors also.

There is also another huge show going on here in California (Anaheim) on the same weekend, which is called the Natural Expo show (mainly featuring 2,500 booths of which products go into stores like Whole Foods, Trader Joes, etc, and less on sports nutrition).

I am not sure, but I will perhaps get a list this year on which MMA companies are exhibiting.  I know that Frank Mir will be at Nutrabolics, and Brock Lesnar is supposed to be at Dymatize.  Last year, I think there was a UFC booth with a number of fighters there, and also various magazines from the MMA world, as well as Powerlifting booths.

They'll probably cut back on the some of the free stuff and offer alternatives like RTDs for a dollar and things of that sort.   The free stuff is less and less every year.  I remember the massive amount of free shaker bottles and tshirts I got the first year I went,  now you have to buy most of that stuff.

I think if you go to a booth and you are seriously interested in those items, you can get samples.

What I find funny is watching people who never heard of the stuff come up to a table and try and shove as many samples as they can into their bag.

Vendors are there to show interested people their new products, existing items and more.  Yes, try some samples, and take one if you want it, but when I worked a booth, I was amazed at some people.

A half hour before closing time, one guy came up to me, and started putting packets of stuff into his bag. I go, what are you doing, take ONE... and he actually said.. ah your closing, I am trying to help you so you don't have to take the samples back with you.

Certain products are not for certain people.

GREED is good. Look at this way Ron. Maybe some of these people live on the Streets and a free feed never hurt anyone. But I hear what your saying.

The Cage from Universal Nutrition/AnimalPak actually is bigger, and has much more lifting events than last year! Average Joe guys are squaring off with the Pros in many different lifts...Deadlift 405 for reps, squating 405 for reps, bench and curl your body weigth for reps....Make sure you stop by The Cage...The theme this year is....BlackOut!

Ergopharm has a 20x40 booth, and will feature a few competitors, including

NPC competitor Robert Hatch, Figure Pro Rachel Cammon, Figure Pro Amy O'Neil, and Figure Pro Alicia Harris, as well as of course, the legendary Patrick Arnold....

Yes, Nicole is usually at the Labrada booth, along with a myriad of other people, including Lee Labrada himself.

Allmax is another company that will be there...

Toronto, Canada, February 26, 2009 --(PR.com)-- ALLMAX Nutrition is pleased to announce the newest member of Team ALLMAX; IFBB Pro Troy Brown. Troy has an extremely impressive competitive history; which includes placing first heavyweight and overall champion for heavyweight in the British Championships in 2006.

ALLMAX feels honored to have Troy Brown as part of the ALLMAX team. You can meet Troy at the ALLMAX booth at the upcoming Arnold Sport Classic weekend in Columbus, Ohio March 7, 8 and 9th.

Will you present one to him?

Dude - get with it already.  What he did in the past isnt what he does now.  The man made $3,000 a weekend.  I know guys that would do that just to meet the beautiful women he met for free.

Yes, we know about the grapefruit thing. Every few days, we get reminded of it. It was in his act when he was an exotic dancer. Yes, yes... ok...
