I have a close friend who owns a gun store and told me that the distributors are charging 1500 for Bushmasters now, and even they are on at least 6 month to a year back order for new ones.

i saw one back in Colorado 2 year2 back for $960

They still had them at Christmas this year, priced at about $1200 plux tax.

That's a lot of money for a relatively crappy rifle. You can get much better for less.
